I finished with 10 shots on the field target

And some 25 m shooting with a few Sig P210

This is a 210-4 from the German border protection, made in the early 50ies (52 maybe) with Sig wooden sports grips

That electronic shot recording thing is crazy. Apparently the CMP range in Florida has them.

Detects shot impact by sound. I wonder how accurate it is and how would you know if it was wrong?

Many ranges have the old system Polytronic TG 6300

Accuracy is given at under 5 mm

Here is the factsheet

https://www.polytronic.ch/sites/default/files/documents/factsheets/Prospekt TG 6300_e.pdf

The company is in business since 1966, in Switzerland all the 300 m ranges (several hundreds) are equipped by this company so I’m pretty sure they know their stuff.

Camp Perry, Port Clinton, Ohio offers electronic scoring at the Petrarca Rifle and Pistol Range and at the indoor Gary Anderson Shooting Center.

Took some 9 mm European service pistols to the range this morning. Weather was fantastic nice temperature and great light and sunshine.

Four very different guns, but all fairly similar results on target even though no one would suggest that a Glock has the same accuracy potential as a SIG P210. An interesting lesson there.

Nice shooting!

And another beautiful day in the Swiss country side

Unfortunately I didn’t know the range closed at 4 pm due to Covid instead of 5 pm so I had only half an hour instead of an hour and a half

It is / was quite popular

But lately I’ve seen the price of components rise while price for factory ammo has decreased, reducing or negating savings when reloading

In spending two weeks in Europe, a stop in Lucerne? It seemed like litter was banned!
I never saw any, not a piece of trash. Never saw a vehicle run across the white line at traffic lights, ever. That same line in Orlando seems more of a suggestion.
Every young person seemed to speak way more than one language.
Fired my first Sig 210 in England when I joined my first Gun Club. I think I was 18 YOA?
Just had my 85 birthday! Who would have thought it?

We are taught that the white line is like a wall

Happy belated birthday

I was part of an educational tour of Europe the summer of 1960, when I was in high school. That was my perception everywhere we went in Switzerland -- the streets were exceptionally clean.

Then we went to Paris ...

Ugh!
