I just called five dealers in my area hoping to buy a taurus titanium revolver before they disappear from this state forever. Well, thanks to our f**king attorney general, out of the five dealers, only one can still sell any firearms. They have been served court orders from AG (I think that stands for ******* General). All the others cannot sell any handguns. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. In effect, this guy has enacted a complete handgun ban on all law-abiding citizens of MA. The people who live, vote, work and pay their taxes here have been deprived of their rights. Gee, I wonder if any black market street dealers got served? Thank god for those new regulations, now I know we will all be safe, because no self respecting criminal would sell or buy a saturday night special without a child lock or load indicator!!

Thanks massa2****s.

I know I'll be contributing to the GOAL legal defense fund.

I live in Mass and have not heard about this yet. Is there anywhere I can read up on this?
I guess it's time to dust off the TV and start catching some news again.

DannyO,

Any gun owner who lives in Mass. and hasn't heard about this is part of the problem. Get off your fanny and VOTE! Or have you ever heard of that?

Jim

I live in Mass too and have not heard anything that would suggest certain stores are not selling certain guns. As a matter of fact, I know of 2 stores that have quite a few taurus Titaniums. They said they haven't been affected by the new bulls**t. The only brand of gun one of these particular stores can't carry is Kimber. That is only due to a contract dispute. Do some more homework before disowning Mass, we are still one of the most influential states in the union. If more gun owners voted in this state then less a**holes will be able to screw with our right.

This is WAY out of control!!!!!!!!!

I also am a Mass resident. I'm somewhat familiar with what is currently going on law wise. Unfortunately voting will make little difference as ALL current politicians are anti gun. I do however suggest that you vote for the lessor of the evil's, join GOAL (the mass pro gun rights group) and the NRA. NOW!!!!!!

I'm getting annoyed at having my rights to protect myself taken away or restricted under the pretense of my safety, sad huh?

Your tax dollar at work!!!

DannyO, I agree with Jim, you are part of the problem if you are not at least aware of what is going on. The MA AG (A**hole General) just instituted and enforced new regulations on all firearms. THose include mandatory internal locks, child proofing, load indicators, inability to fire with mag detached, load indicators, not to mention all the "safety" tests and inspections. Those new regs apply to EVERY firearm, regardless of date of manufacture and went into effect IMMEDIATELY. ANd guess who is responsible for ensuring all the fireaarms meet those standards? The dealers. That means they can't sell anything that doesn't comply, and right now, nothing complies unitl it has been certified byt the A**hole General. For example, under the new regs, all Glocks are now illegal to sell. Taurus no longer will be shipping to MA. Rumor has it niether will Ruger. Expect the other "noncompliant" manufacturers to follow suit. These are all the regs that the legislature could not pass. They have figured out how to bypass the legislature to enfore their agenda, under the guise of "consumer protection".

You can find out about it through NRA and GOAL. While you are there-- JOIN!!! Unless of course, you only want to be able to carry pepper spray. (Which, BTW, in this state you need a photo ID, with fingerprints license in order to buy).

Make no mistake. This is a sweeping change, and it's for real. Thank the MA A**hole General for making the bay state safer for criminals!

And, yes I belong to NRA and GOAL, I am registered and I do vote.

I feel sorry for you people in the People's Republic of Massachussetts. I told my wife that if the same crap ever occurs in Virginia we will MOVE to a state where the 2nd amendment is protected.

To all Mass shooters that think I am the problem.

I am a former US Marine and have been carrying for the past 6 years. I belong to the NRA and a local gun club. I DO VOTE. I just do not watch TV.

I was listening to a radio program earlier this week and the president of GOAL was on it. He never mentioned anything about this. I also listen to Charlton Hestons speech the other day and did not hear much mention from him. So I would say I try to stay pretty informed. The reason things like this get passed is because they keep it quiet until it gets pushed through.
Did you expect the news media to interupt the Cuban kiddie crisis to tell me I'm losing my rights?
The only thing I heard about was the mandatory trigger lock with every gun sale thing.
I didn't reply to your post to get jumped on. I am trying to learn and help.
As for being part of the problem.... I served 4 years in the US Marines to protect this country and to protect the rights of every American, including your right to free speech.
I am registered on this page to learn and help fellow shooters. How you think I could be a member and gun owner and not care is beyond me.

THINK before you post comments like that. Though I am ususally thick skinned I will not have my Patriotism questioned by anyone.

BTW has anyone actually looked at what the GOAL page says about this????? I'll tell you.

"The Attorney General announced sweeping regulations on Monday. Many of you have been calling us with questions, but we have very few answers."

That is very helpful.

wait until some law abiding citizen shoots some BG with a pistol noncompliant with the ban. criminal cases will probably not be affected but the scum sucking lawers will have a field day with how a proven unsafe product was used to severely bruise and or kill his client. " Why my client would be alive today if this gun-nut had been using a safe gun with 10 safety levers and a 20 lb. trigger". yeah kiss my A$$

Well SOMEONE keeps voting for them.

Maybe it's what the majority of people in Mass. actually want, in which case you're the one that's f****d, not the AG. No amount of squealing will change that.

Anyways, it's a dumb state, come and live in Penn. with the right thinking folk, we like our guns and so do the politicians. New England, pheeeeww, I've had better dumps.

Hey Mike why the hell should anyone move to Penisylvania. Some counties have laws against pornography and I've heard that incest runs rampant there as well.
Have a nice day.

Boy the thought of being deprived of my skin mag would be awful, I'd have to go back to having sex with my sister ;)

I always wondered who reads those grocery store checkout magazines. Lighten up a little. New England does suck though (just like Olde England).

I am a western mass resident and my local gunshop stopped doing semi auto handgun sales at the begining of the week but as of today is trying to sell everything he has. He confirmed for me that Tarus has stopped shipments to this state and has heard that Ruger is about to do the same. One of his largest distibuters- Camfour out of Westfield mass has stopped selling to shops in this state at this time. It looks like the crisis is real at this time, Lets hope it is short in duration.

Sorry to hear this about you folks up in Mass. I guess there must be to many Redcoats still up there voting those a**holes in office, Now that comment is not ment for anyone here.
But I guess for what its worth I would start raising hell with somebody. Even though it may not help I would still let those jerkoffs know.
And by the way there is nothing wrong with PA. but we have some of those types here to.
But I always let MY Elected "EMPLOYEES" know about how I really feel :)
Anyway when I retire I'm headed for the land of AZ. as in Arizona :) As far from Washington as possible, But then I'll be close to Kalifornia :( I'd start writing and start writing alot, with teabags enclosed.

masshooter:

Come on down to Texas. I moved here in 1986 from Iowa to go to school. I wasn't planning to stay here, but discovered that Texas has some good things going for it. The state is pro-gun rights, and we do not have a state income tax.

I'm going to stay here forever.

What precisely does your status as a former Marine have to do with being well-informed, #1, and, #2, how exactly was your Patriotism called into question?

If you reside in Massachusetts and are a firearms owner, and the recent court decision which allowed the Bay State Attorney General to implement this horrendous legislation under the guise of "consumer safety," caught you in Condition White, then the original poster, "Masshooter," was most assuredly correct in suggesting that you are part of the problem. And no amount of truculence on your part, or brandishing the honorable trappings of the eagle, arrow and globe (with attendant mindless "Attaboys!" from other tribal members), is going to obscure that fact.

This is not a shot at the Marine Corps, it's a shame on you for your posturing rather than sucking it up and acknowledging "Gee, I guess I might be part of the problem after all… I think I'd better get involved."

I don't live anywhere near The Bay State, but I damned sure know what's going on up there, for things like that have a malodorous way of propagating Westward.
