Makarov...best handgun in the world for $150.00?

I LIKE THE SIGHTS ON YOUR MAK. IF YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING HOW MUCH DID IT COST FOR MMC TO DO THE SIGHTS.

No problem bigfoot 4, but get prepared for sticker shock!

But before I give out pricing, let me explain my thinking. While the Mak is indeed an inexpensive pistol, I don't think of it as a cheap pistol. It's well made, accurate, and reliable as a result of sound design. I wouldn't advise spending money to customize a Jennings or Lorcin; while those guns have their uses any extra $$ spent after the purchase would be throwing money away.

The sights on my gun are night sights, configured with a green dot up front & red dots in back. The rear sight is click adjustable for elevation and windage adjustable by drifting.

The sights were about $150 for the set, installation on my slide which required machining off the factory front sight & machining dovetails both front & rear was another $85. I managed to get around the shipping by sending the slide through UPS from where I work, but that would have to be added also.

A much more economical alternative would be to go with either white dots or black sights. I believe the black units are less than $100, knocking over $50 off the total price.

I'm currently looking for an East German Makarov since it is C&R and importable into Kali. I would go for a Bulgarian if it's in Kali.

Any links where I may order one?

my opinion i would not trade my bul. mak. for a sack full of kel tech 9mm.paid 149.00 new for mine and have 20 mags for mine.case ammo cci 116.00,most accurate and reliable gun out of the box,you cant go wrong with a mak

At any price...

The Makarov is accurate, dependable, reliable, and powerful enough when aimed correctly. Did I say reliable, and dependable?

The accuracy is not the best, but close. The reliability is next to NONE at any price. And the ammo is inexpensive.

NOTHING touches it for the price. And few if any will touch it at ANY price.

I ordered my first one when the price was $1,200 and the wait was over a year. That one never came in, but I got some more at the current prices.

My second choice is a Glock 19, hicap, with QuickShocks, and that only for multiple adversaries such as a large pack of wild dogs.
