Looking to purchase 1st striker fire 9mm handgun.

PPQ M2 is a great choice (just bought one)! I can also vouch for the G19, G26 and the M&P9C (CZ75B is awesome, too, but hammer fired).

Thanks to all for the advice/recommendations! I purchased The PPQ M2 Longslide 5". I'll follow up with a range report shortly.

Ruger sr9c if u want a really sweet trigger, Walther PPQ is also very nice.I shoot the earlier ver. p99as and love it due mainly to decocker. The anti-stress trigger on p-99 is very nice.

My recommendations to the OP, in no particular order- Hk VP9, Walther PPQ, Springfield XDm. They are all excellent choices that can be had for under $700.

He made his decision about a month ago. Not sure why this thread needed bumping.

The PPQ seems to be high on almost everyone's list, but never having fired one, I can't put it there. I do, however, have a Walther PPS in 9MM and like some have mentioned, it is a great pistol. I shoot mine a lot and it is accurate, reliable, easy to take down and clean. I did add nite sites to mine because it is my primary carry gun and I walk my killer (lol) dog late at night.
If I were limited to just one handgun, it would be my Glock 22. It, like my PPS, works every time I pull the trigger and carries 15 rounds, my PPS only carries 7.
Again, I have not shot a PPQ, but Walther puts a lot of quality in their center fire pistols, so if you have ruled out a Glock, the PPQ might be the next best choice.

Let us know where u land

He did on October 17th....

Got to love the people that dont read the thread!

Also love the people who are recommending subcompacts for a strict range toy. They didnt even read the OP!

Hey , lighten up. Some issues came up, I will get a range report out within the week. You'll be the 1st to know! The build quality is absolute outstanding!
