Mine is lifetime. I think all Mark IV are but maybe there's something diff with a few of the newer electronic models like the HAMR etc.
Mark IV 1.5-5 x 20 M/R illuminated with M2 turrets(30 MM)
Love the scope, the features, reticle, calibrated BDC cam, warranty, and operation(price was not a determining factor...the features were), but after 2rebuilds for the same issue, I don't trust it as far as I can throw it, to not do the same thing again.
Still in that same ol' maintube however...despite being mounted 3 times here and 3 times there.:)

Next time it's getting mounted into a Nightforce box.

I have been shooting Leupold scopes for years. I finally had one go bad. My gunsmith sent it back to them. I have heard some horror storeis where you thought Leupold would have told them to take a hike. Leupold said send it in and they have either repaired them or replaced them.

Ever heard of slave labor:

Quality goes down because the intent on turning out huge profits require speed and getting the product out the door while relying on the consumer who is busy not returning the product. I've seen this in my work life as a quality control technician, now of course this varies from company to company but poor quality today exist. Sorry I prefer my old pre60 guns over your machine made stuff of today. Have you ever operated the bolt on a hand made 100 year old 30-40 krag.

The pre-64 Model 70's did not use interchangeable parts. The lathes at Winchester were so worn out each rifle had to have all the parts "hand fitted" and most were not interchangeable. Of course this makes for silky smooth actions and perfect fits but it's not profitable to do this. That's why Winchester cheapened their products. Their problem was they went way too far with their cost saving and produced crap.

And no matter how cheap you can buy something from China a company can also totally ruin their reputation if they don't ensure they're getting good stuff.

My SIL worked for the GM transmission plant. GM built a new, state-of-the-art iron foundry in China that was designed to put out a specific amount of parts. After getting them up and running the GM big wigs returned and soon the parts were failing and shoddy. The Chinese decided to get the foundry to make more parts then it was designed to and dinked with the iron chemistry and other areas causing horrible material problems. The GM biggies went back over, chewed them out, told them not to mess with the chemistry and run the amount of parts the foundry was supposed to and returned to Detroit. Guess what. The same thing happened again and GM shut the plant down and moved everything to Mexico or some other cheap labor place. This is a true story and also gives you a little background in what can happen when greedy companies try to save a buck by going to China. Enjoy driving your Chevies!!

I've sent 2 scopes back to Leupold both were back in a month or so. I never called just let them do their thing. Last one was a year and a half or so ago. Both times the scopes were fixed right.

It's a bummer you had a bad experience with your Leupold scope and their customer service. I never have had to try their customer service. Maybe I've been lucky. I bought my first scope, a Redfield 3-9X, back in 1967. I've never had any problems with it either, nor my Simmons, nor my Weaver, nor my Tasco, nor my Pride Fowler, nor my BSA. I guess I've really been lucky. I hope things work out better for you in the future. Good luck, and good hunting.
