I really like the concept though and that is a great way to prototype it.

I would think a better approach down the road would be to have the screw drive the bars in opposite directions with one knob. Then you use one setting on the dial instead of having to worry about both sides. The easiest way would be to move the screw drive to one side and have the bars indexed in different directions being driven by the screw which extends the full length of the assembly.
Putting the screw off to one side is an excellent idea. Having one end of the screw shaft left-had thread and the other end right-hand thread would make the movements symmetrical and keep the cavity centered.

I love a collaborative process.

There's also a modification using a piece of rubber eraser stuffed in the front portion of the adjustable charge bar.

What this does is effectively move the hole receiving the powder farther to the rear, making it fill far more evenly.

I tried it once and it seemed to work well.

Jr, that's great stuff! Does this drawing fit your idea?

Now we have moved beyond modification of the existing product and into the realm of new product development. Anyone here have the resources to carry this out? I'll be first in line to buy one from you! I wonder if Lee is listening...

I think it might need a third tracking nub, but this is pretty close to what Lee should be selling, no?
