least expensive handgun you've ever bought

Not counting the FIE .38 derringer I found when we moved into one place, or the FIE Titan .25 I traded a 40MB backup tape for ...

$79 jennings .22.

Junk, junk, junk. YMMV. Yours might be fine, have shot thousands of rounds, shoots .25" groups at 25 yards, yada yada yada. Mine was junk, that failed in just about every way that wasn't catastrophic. Worth-less.

Might have been a chrome Jennings .22 for $79.95 plus tax. What mistake that was. As far as long guns go, it was a used, single shot, Stevens bolt action .22 for $49.95. A pretty good rifle as far as I could remember.

$75 for a Raven .25 from my brother, who inherited it when Dad died and no longer wanted it. It's my medicine cabinet gun ;), probably a good choice given that its effective range is about the width of your average bathroom.

I paid $190 out the door for a slightly used Ruger P89(stainless), it is still the only pistol I own that has never jammed for any reason. Plus it uses the p95 mags and holsters I already owned.

Like Piper Cub and tdrizzle, mine was a .25 Raven. Piece of junk. I still have it, though, and now a box of ammo for it costs more than I paid for the gun originally. That was $25 back in . . . oh, good lord, that was over 30 years ago

Walther P22. NIB $287 out the door including tax. Not one bit sorry I bought it. A 'fun' gun to shoot and the ammo is inexpensive too.

least expensive handgun you've ever bought

My least expensive pistol is this sweetie I bought for $75, and yes, I am still happy with it. :D

well I bought a few from the bargain basement.
Shot gun was a single action single shot 12 Ga. New England cost was $35 and some tax in 1995.
Rifles 2 chinese SKS rifles unissued 30 round fixed mags less than $150 total out of the door with 200 rounds of ammo. In 1996
Pistol was a S&W 9mm DA/SA. It was less than $200 out of the door. Came with a light and an uncle mikes holster. I think it was used. It is kinda blocky, had a 15 round mag bought it during the hicap ban days. First 3 of sn# is TCP

Let's see, a xerox box of police trade in S&W's for $85 a gun in 2005. A crate is select grade Swedish Mauser's at $49 a pop. 12 argentine 1909's for about the same. A nib Colt's SAA with the hang tag still on it from a depression era dry goods store in Cody Wyoming for $125. I won't buy junk but you can make some money if you keep your eyes open.

$49.00 for a Raven .25 acp in 1990. My first gun. It jammed alot but the bullets went right where I wanted them to up to about 15 yards and I had a lot of fun with it.

Stink.

Bought a Detonics 45 acp for $75 from a friend at work. Blue Combat Master and it shoots great. Probably the best deal I'll ever make!

My 1st rifle was an SKS. Bought it brand new still wrapped in cosmoline for $89.00. My 1st handgun was a Norinco 9mm for $125.00. It was gas tube operated and the rings on the piston would get clogged about every 20 - 30 rounds. I used to have to field strip it several times every time I brought it to the range. Didn't keep that gun very long.

cheapest handgun

1911A1 I paid $45.00 no tax from the Rhine Main Rod and gun club in 1966. I handed the air force guy my cash and he went to the back room and grabbed a paper and cosmolene wrapped pistol from a crate did the paper work and sent me out the door. Its been a long time but I think I remember being supprised at a handgun made by a sewing machine co?

Ruger Standard .22 Cal Pistol in 1965 for $37.50.

Still have it, abused for years, made some tigerwood grips for it, shoots great.

C9

Just bought a Hi Point C9 today for $99. I've heard to many good things to pass up on a potentially great plinker like a C9. If it has problems I'll just send it back for another.

Other than that, PT22 $140, still has the MP pearl handles.

+1 on the RG .22

Got one for $25 a few years ago. I taught a couple friends to shoot with it, dry fired it a thousand times to teach and learn trigger control, sold it for $20 last year.
