Hey gunners,

What is the least expensive handgun you have ever purchased?

And were you sorry or delighted?

Mine was a Phoenix HP22 and I am STILL DELIGHTED!

Ruger MKIII 22/45, $219 new, out the door. I am very pleased, certainly got my money out of it, and it shoots almost as good as my $450 Buckmark.

#1 - Nagant - $49.87
I bought it because I thought it was weird but cool. I still do.

#2 - EG Makarov - $100.
Best $100 I ever spent on a gun.

FIE .22 revolver. $60.00. it was my first pistol and was fun for a while. man that thing was LOUD. It is also the only gun I don't regret selling. I think I sold it for $60.

Nagant for $50?

Please tell me it was a while ago, so I don't feel so ripped off for paying $120.

Which still makes it the cheapest handgun I've bought.

A couple of years ago I bought a gun I sure as heck never expected to buy. Someone local was selling a NIB Jennings J-22 for $80 , and I figured .."eh, what the heck, it's a nice conversation piece for the money".

$35 Ruger Super Blackhawk. Traded a shot out $35 Star Ultralight in 9mm for it. The previous owner mounted a rifle scope, got half-mooned and didn't want any part of it anymore. One shot fired.

Got me hooked on them, drat!

Smith & Wesson Sigma 9mm, It was such a long time ago, I don't remember what I paid for it. It was barely used, seems like it was $200.00, or somewhere around there. - Wish I still had it.

I bought it back in 2000. I had a C&R then and it was shipped with a bunch of other stuff I bought so it really was just $49.87.
Aim Surplus still has them for $79.95

If you have a C&R, the AIM Nagant is still a good deal. If you don't and have to pay a FFL transfer fee, with shipping, it probably comes out close to what you paid.

Charter Arms Explorer II for $102.

Next was a Ruger Security Six for $225 including shipping.

Don't regret either. Explorer works great except I only got the one mag (Functions great) and every other one I tried won't feed.........

RG Industries .22lr Snubby...

Got it for $30. Heard bad things but 600 rounds later it still does the job.

I paid $59 in '93 (I think?) for my nickel plated Jennings J-22. This gun has seen at least a couple thousand rounds and still works quite well... and perhaps more amazing, it still looks NEW. Given how many of them are out there in circulation, many folks have had them, seen them or used them, and most everyone puts them right near the top of any "junk, worst ever" list, but this has been worth every single of the five thousand nine hundred cents.

J&G also sells them for 80, but I knew that with shipping and FFL transfer, it would total 120, so I figured I'd cut the hassle and wait-time and just buy it locally for 120.

But glad to reaffirm that I wasn't really ripped off.

I paid $125 for one of these... (but not this specimen)
