I agree with that in principle, but it does not apply here. O Dell and the rest believe that Kerry's war protest actions erase any meritorious service and therefore, they are not disparaging a fellow officer: they are lying to make sure a war protestor does not get elected. I understand their motives, and I am not voting for Kerry, but I don't think Bush needs to get a bunch of people to lie to get elected. he should have called the swift vets for what they are, and Senator John McCain publicly asked mr Bush to do exactly that. It's too bad he didn't have enough integrity to do it, but I believe he is so afraid of Kerry's combat record he stands by while a bunch of lyers rip into it.
