My start to 2010 - 4" Ruger Police Service Six (1982 production) purchased just before Christmas, 3" polished S&W 65-3 purchased the weekend after New Years, and a very-nearly new-in-box 3" Ruger Police Service Six (1988 production) traded for last weekend. Grips on 65-3 are Ahrends, on 4" S. six are from CDNN, and I have some Badger Black woods coming for the 3" S. Six.

The 3" S. six was in the original box and plastic, basically as it must have come home directly from the store back in 1988:

This is Lucille, my Momma's Colt Frontier Scout in .22 lr,,,
She's a little bit ragged but it's probably had a million rounds through it,,,
She's been shot continuosly since Dad bought it for Mom sometime back in 1963.

You gotta get out in the sun more often your butt is very white in that colt picture. ;) :)

I like your guns.

I went to OSU - love Stillwater.

Aw dondavis3,,,

Don't be talking about my mannequin's butt like that,,,
You'll hurt her feelings real bad.

So you're a Cowboy also,,,
Here's a bit of nostalgia for you.
pete-lr.jpg

I started making the Pistol pete gunbelts a couple of years ago,,,
I found out the two guys who are Pete don't get any souveniers to keep,,,
So I started making the rigs and giving them to the two students as a momento.

Later my new friend,,,
And don't be badmouthing my girl's butt anymore,,,
You'll make her self conscious and she won't go bottomless again.

Later my new friend,,,

That's a great rig.

If I were still shooting SASS I'd want one to wear to the shoots.

The two that you gave to the old "Pete's" was a real nice gesture on your part.

I promise not to talk about your "ladys rear any more.

Later my new friend ...

Meet my photography assistant,,,

Do you good folk have a photography assistant as dedicated as mine?

This is Bart, my Maine Coon,,,
Best friend I've ever had,,,
Monster big kitty-cat,,,
Great lap jockey.

bart-04-lr.jpg

I'll just sit here and keep this spot warm for ya.

He also helped me make the gunbelts and holsters,,,

Aarond,
That "Pete" rig looks fantastic, I love the whole look about it! I think you may have just ruined everyone else's designs for me now.:D

This is the first Colt .45 ACP Terry Tussey customized for me, and I still have it. He built it in 1984, and if memory serves, he told me that it's the first stainless 1911 he ever did. This is a recent picture, I've tried to take good care of it.

Thanks chargerfan and dondavis3

chargerfan,,,
I've been doing gunleather as a serious hobby for many many years now,,,
I've even managed to sell a few over the years for ammo money,,,
My problem is that I don't like to make the same rig twice.

That's probably why I don't manage to make anything more than ammo money.

People say, "I want one just like,,," and that's where I get frustrated,,,
I say, "Let me design one just for you so it's yours alone.",,,
Almost always they just want a copy of a previous one,,,
Veeeeery frustrating to me as an arteeeest.

I truly appreciate your positive feedback.

dondavis3,,,
Maine Coons are a truly amazing breed of cats,,,
So very mellow and affectionate.

I got Bart 18 months age, I believe he had just turned 5 years old,,,
It took a few days with him in my home to get comfortable,,,
He had to find the right spot for his "comfort place",,,
But now he's the king of the mobile home.

He's terrified of scorpions though,,,
I live in oklahoma and they are rampant here,,,
he got stung on the paw one time and now is terrified of em.

When one gets in the home he lets me know,,,
he has a very frantic "A scorpion is in the house" meow,,,
He'll point it out like a setter on a pheasant and let me know where,,,
It's my job to get the stick and turn the nasty thing to a puddle of jelly.

I've always had a cat in the house,,,
Bart is by far the most affectionate of em all.

Later my friends,,,

I love that Detective Special...

It's such a "Dragnet" style of pistol,,,
I can just see Jack Webb holding a thug at bay with it.

I had a small windfall of cash this month,,,
There's a gun show is this weekend,,,
Need I say more?

Think maybe I'll put one of those on my look-for list.
