This is a .40 S&W as originally built by Colt. It's one of the Elite 1911-A1's built probably 15 years ago. It shoots ok but not fantastic gps, (sub 2-1/2" gps at 25 yds) but has a tendency to throw one round high and right out of each magazine. A good caliber in a great pistol and pretty unique too. I'm a new member and I just finished reading this thread. It is by far the longest I have ever seen on any forum . Lets keep it going! I Just got this new GP 100 for Christmas. Great shooter. I already have 500 rounds through it. http://i893.photobucket.com/albums/ac133/dana5805/My-Ruger-GP100.jpg
After spending the past two days looking through this thread, I've realized I have a lot of work to do. This is my current piece, although it rarely leaves it's case and never gets fired.
It's a pearl-handled, nickel-plated .38 S&W.
I'm not a big revolver fan so it will be joined shortly by a Glock 19 for CC.
