Nice PT92, dimapower

It is an under-rated gun, overlooked because of the brand name.

It is a Beretta in disguise, and the frame-mounted, 1911-direction safety is the icing on the cake.

The only problem is that it makes me think "Nickel-plated sissy pistol" (yeah, even though it is stainless) :D

My first firearm... A Sig. One of the P6 West German police trade-ins. I LOVE having purchased a good quality firearm as my first gun. Knowing nothing about guns... I almost bought a COBRA! Thanks to the small-gun store owners out there who keep people like me from wasting my money. I can't wait to buy another firearm!

Rare - Briley Fantom F13 Compensated

This is a recent acquisition for me, a compensated Briley F13 Fantom in .40 S&W. It features a thinned and shortened Caspian widebody alloy frame, trigger and action tuning by Evolution Gun Works, tritium sights and it came with three custom made 12 round magazines and a wood presentation case. But no owners manual, was told none ever made. I contacted Claudio Salassa of Briley to find out why and he informed me that so few of these were actually made that they never got around to drafting and publishing an owners manual! I have not been able to substantiate this but I have been told that fewer than 100 Fantoms of any model were ever produced and there are no existing records as to how many compact Fantoms, in .40 S&W and compensated, were made. Although the action work certainly brings down the monetary value, I didn't purchase this pistol for that reason. Its a shooter, and one of my favorites.

Les Baer Thunder Ranch Commanche Tripp Research Bobtail!

Another Favorite!

This Les Baer Thunder Ranch Commanche has received a Bobtail Conversion and hardchroming from Virgil Tripp. The pistol has a VERY low serial number, as in TRC000X where the X is the actual single digit number. She is stocked with a gorgeous set of custom made Box Elder Burl grips crafted by Ed over at Wicked Grips.

No Goldilocks but Three Baers

Corny, I know. I couldn't resist.

I gave you the narrative of the Thunder ranch Commanche Tripp Bobtailed and hardchromed pistol wearing the Box Elder burl grips by Wicked.

The one of the left is a 6" Premier II wearing Amboyna Burl grips by Esmeralda.

The bottom one is another premier II but with the 1.5" groups and tactical packages and wears a set of Cocobolo grips, also by Esmeralda.

All three are tight and have never failed to function, period. This serves as my personal endorsement for Les baer pistols.

Thanks for viewing.
