This was given to me by a family friend who is getting on in years. The story is that his uncle picked it up at Vimy Ridge during the Great War from a German sargeant. Hard to prove with any certainty but I have his uncles service records and his unit was there at that time and he was decorated shortly after the battle.

My new highly Custom 1911 .45. It just arrived in the mail this week. This is what I saw when I opened the package up at my local FFL:

P.S. -- The unusual looking wood in the grips is White Cocobolo.

Wow. Some incredible pics, beautiful firearms, I can't compete. Well, here's my new holster with an old favorite sidearm.

Zombie Thread Alert

However, since it is a picture thread, not much value has been lost since this was started in '05. (except that 3/4 of the original photos aren't there any more, hehehe)

I'll contribute my photos of the most under-appreciated combat 45 ever, the Ruger P90. Accurate, reliable, and with a pretty soft recoil. The only weakness is a "combat adequate" trigger.

These sell used for $300 and under in great shape. (since they are built so tough)

If the serial number is correct, it's number 52. And a possible prototype to the current runs of pointmen.

The P90 I showed on the previous page has been replaced by these two, a used Bersa and a new SP-101:

A few quick pics catching the late afternoon sun.

The guns that got me started. Picked up a HP380 - excellent gun so far. A few FTE's during the first 100, but since then has been flawless and very accurate.

Then, a few weeks later, I picked up this 92AFS - been flawless through 400 rounds.
