Just one 9mm pistol opinions

Up to $1,000 max if you had to pick and own only one 9mm pistol what would it be? The criteria are absolute reliability, availability of parts and reasonable accessories. The gun will be used for both a carry gun, home defense, and general plinking at a range. The goal is to buy, practice, carry, and care for just one gun until it's use is near an extension of yourself. Thanks!

I'd probably go with a 1911-style with adjustable sights. Something like the Sig Sauer 1911 Match Elite in stainless.

Bersa Thunder 9mm 17 round mag price is good and will take a lot of shooting CZ 75 is also a good one I always like the full size gun in both make

Glock 19 would be my choice, I believe it fills all of the requirements and is the gun I have that has many thousands of rounds through it with out fail.

Based on your requirements:

Glock 19 GEN 4 with a set of aftermarket sights

Hard to beat Glocks on parts availability.

Another CZ PO1 fan. Nice solid guns. CZ PCR is another very nice candidate. Have owned Glocks and CZs and personally strongly prefer he CZs.

Hk vp9 - best trigger in striker fired platform, has a pic rail and still fairly thin (g19 has it beat on size though).
