Just For Fun What Kind Of Gun do u have

My latest fun gun is a Mini-14 in stainless... I know, lots of you think this gun is pointless, but I got it as new for $300. Hard to say no to that. :)
It is a ton of fun to shoot- Not terribly accurate, but not disapointing either. Feeds fine too. Maybe I got one of the good ones?? :p
It is a great plinker: Lightweight, compact, and it looks good doing it too.

Craig

My favorite is and always will be my M1903 that was made in 1911. Still shoots accurate enough for iron sights. As far as I know it could have been used my Seargent York (in basic) Audie Murphy (also in basic) or even in the pacific during WW2 by a marine. There's nothing like shooting a peice of history as long as it doesn't blow up in your face.

favorite gun?

I have many firearms (25 years of collecting) But I would have to say...Ditto carolinaflats......My favorite rifle (at least for this month) is the .25 WSSM in the Coyote, with a Burris 8-32X44 mil-dot. Using 48 gns. of BL-C(2) and 85 gn Noslers. less than 1/2" MOA.... A short, fat, 500 yd groundhawg killin' piece-o-equipment!!! I love this rifle!

Semi-Sporterized 1903A3
Ishapore Enfield 2A (.308)
Ruger Mini-14
Ruger 10-22
Marlin 1894FG (.41 Mag)
Marlin Mod60 (.22 LR)

All nicely secured and wired to an alarm now!

He probably means a Baby Eagle, its easy to get things mixed up some times.

That's true.

Say, did I tell you about my new Chevy Corvette?

The emblem on the trunk says Cavalier, but I'm pretty sure it's a Corvette. It's easy to get these things mixed up sometimes.

;)

Well some crooks now have a pretty good idea of where to look! As for me, come to my house, IF I trust you, I'll show you a few. Otherwise,NONE OF YER DAMN BUSINESS!

Lol - me neither - there was a thread on TFL a few years back about "Anyone ever forgotten about a gun they owned" and there were some funny responses about guns turning up to people's surprise.

In response to the initial question, what iamkris said! My oh my things have gone downhill since Schoolhouse Rock went off the air.

P.S. Do your other 2 sons feel slighted by your choice of forum name? ;)

OK to actually answer the poor (abbereviated) guy's question, it would be a toss-up between my CMP Garand, DSA StG and Pedersoli Sharps.

Kris Rich, you have to many obvious glaring holes in your collection! For example, you list a 1919 in .30-06 and a 1919A4 in 7.62x51, but no M1919A6. When Meatloaf wrote the song "Two out of Three Ain't bad, he wasn't speaking about firearms.

Show this post to your boss or biggest customer and tell him I (everyone)said you need an immediate raise and a hefty bonus, and time off to build your collection up to an unembarassing level:-)

Also show this post to your wife or significant other, and let her know this is one of those crisis moments where her true mettle will be judged as to how she supports you in getting through these dark times.

Does anyone else need a post from an objective, disinterested bystander to give validation to a firearms shopping spree?

On a more serious note, how would you compare your 1927A1 to the Beretta Storm? I have a friend who wants a .45 ACP carbine, and these seem to be the only two I can think of that are in production.

artsmom -- I like the way you think!!

Oh, those are just my wish list items, though, so I can't compare the Thompson. But I think you're right on those being about the only obvious semi auto carbines out there, except for the HK USC. Maybe if you stretch the definition the Mech Tech carbine conversion. I've shot all of them except for the Storm. On paper I like the Storm the best with the exception of available high cap -- well, standard really -- mags. (e.g., 20+).

If you want real embarrassment, you have to see my actual collection

Current Stuff I own:
Ruger 10/22
Ruger Super Blackhawk
Henry Goldenboy .22
Smith and Wesson K-38 Combat Masterpiece
Winchester Model 1300 Defender
Colt Official Police

Future Items that I plan on purchasing, in order:
2x 95% Chinese Type 56's w/ 'toad sticker' bayonets
Smith and Wesson Model 469 9mm

For the most part I stick with either Remmington or UMC ammunition, but for the Super Blackhawk, I get whatever I can find for dirt cheap, usually Maine Cartridge Co., which is decent I might add(though, they are lead wadcutters...). Couple times I've bought this European brand shotgun shells, and been impressed.. but I can't remember what brand

Kris....Man.......I bow to you........

Actually the question was gun not guns so I won't embarass myself especially after iamkris's post :p .......I'll just list one and all around it's probably my favorite. It's the one that's with me wherever I go.

Remington 722 in .222 Rem.
It has a 700 varmint barrell rechambered from .223 so it has a little more twist and shoots 55gn. Sierra BTHP's very well. It's been glassed and floated and has a solid follower so it's a single shot.I have an old Weaver 3-9X40 on it and it always hits where I'm holding it when I squeeze the 2lb. trigger.

Crows don't stand a chance. It's a nice piece. Also have great confidence when still hunting whitetails at moderate ranges(Not recommended).I usually carry more gun with me for that but a well placed head or neck shot and ole nannys go down in their tracks.

not guns so I won't embarass myself especially after iamkris's post

:o Aaacck! Sorry, didn't mean to come off like I was bragging. Lots of people on this board have WAY more firearms than I do.

For my favs, again, it would be a toss-up between my CMP Garand, DSA StG and Pedersoli Sharps.

Yeah, I don't own any gunz either, but if I did, my fun gun would be a Rem. 504, .22LR that I'd pillar bedded and free-floated, sporting a 4-14X scope. It would average under .290" at 50 yards from the bench with good ammo.

The stock would be beautifully grained and finished, the action would be buttery smooth. The trigger would adjust down to about 2 lbs and be silky. The rifle would feel exactly like the Rem 700s that I also don't own. I'd be shooting the best offhand groups ever and be having the time of my life with that beauty. Too bad I don't own any gunz. ;)
