NATIONAL ENQUIRER BOMBSHELL: JESSE JACKSON LOVE CHILD; MISTRESS PAID IN CASH

Spiritual adviser to President Clinton Reverend Jesse Jackson took his pregnant mistress to an Oval Office meeting at the height of the Lewinsky Impeachment saga, a stunning new report claims.

Washington will soon be jolted and storm clouds will form over Inauguration Weekend after a NATIONAL ENQUIRER expose alleges Jesse Jackson fathered a daughter conceived out of wedlock by a part-time RAINBOW COALITION staffer who was given $40,000 to relocate to Los Angeles where she now lives in $365,000 multi-bedroom spread and receives a $10,000 a month stipend from Jackson, it is alleged.

The NEW YORK POST is rushing to splash the story in fresh editions, according to newspaper sources.

"JESSE JACKSON'S LOVE CHILD" -- the ENQUIRER is planning to blare in its Page One splash of its January 30 edition.

"A $40,000 moving expense is outragous," one RAINBOW COALITION source tells the ENQUIRER.

The ENQUIRER names the mother, aged 39.

It does not name the young miss, aged 2.

A photo of the girl is featured with a blue dot over her face shielding her identity.

Clinton administration officials were bracing for yet another photograph, obtained by the ENQUIRER, which pictures Jesse Jackson, the pregnant mistress, President Bill Clinton, and RAINBOW COALITION executives smiling in the Oval Office.

The picture was taken on December 3, 1998 -- at the height of the Clinton sex scandal.

"Here was Rev. Jackson counseling Bill Clinton on his infidelity and Jackson's pregant mistress was smiling along?" asked a publishing source.

Jackson urged Clinton to take a contrite tone in his public explanation of the Lewinsky affair:

"Keep your eyes open and your mouth shut. And don't panic."

"If you respond with a contrite heart," Jackson told Clinton, "that obligates the public to respond with mercy."

The ENQUIRER quotes extensively from RAINBOW COALITION insiders and the mistress. Jesse Jackson's wife is said to be devastated by the alleged long-term affair.

Wouldn't it be cool if this was true. Maybe the Rev will keep a lower profile. Anybody have dirt on Sharpton?

Reminds me of the 1970's very conservative Republican Representative from the East Shore of Maryland who was vocally ultra-religious and openly anti-homosexual until it was discovered that he was having affairs with male congressional pages.

The stench of hypocracy from our leaders.

Oh but they have to have made a mistake. How could a babtist minister and all around paragon of perfect be associated with something like this. More that likely another attack on the downtroden.

yes lots of sarcasm lets see him weasel on this.

P.S. Al Sharpton now has arrest warrants issued by a St. Louis judge for the $600 fine that is still unpaid.

Ya beat me to it! Jesse Jackson can no longer claim MORAL HIGH GROUNDS!

Mwwaahahahaha. He can no longer be viewed by anyone with trust that he is an honorable noble man. Yes he has made mistakes...but before persecuting people like GWB and the election in stuff you better be damn sure you chalkboard is clean!!!! :D

Jackson admits to illegitimate child

Daughter born out of wedlock now 2 years old

MSNBC STAFF AND WIRE REPORTS

WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 — Civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson on Thursday confessed to an extramarital affair that resulted in the birth of a daughter who is now 2 years old.

‘No doubt, many close friends and supporters will be disappointed in me. I ask for their forgiveness, understanding and prayers.’
— THE REV. JESSE JACKSON
In a statement released early Thursday JACKSON, who twice ran for president and now hosts a talk show on CNN, said in a statement that he took full responsibility for the child and had been supporting her emotionally and financially since she was born.
“I am father to a daughter who was born outside of my marriage,” the Baptist preacher said in a brief statement. “This is no time for evasions, denials or alibis. I fully accept responsibility and I am truly sorry for my actions.”
Jackson gave no details about the extramarital relationship that resulted in the girl’s birth and said he was determined to give the child and her mother their privacy.
“As her mother does, I love this child very much and have assumed responsibility for her emotional and financial support since she was born,” he said.
Jackson’s statement appeared designed to preempt publication of the embarrassing story in U.S. tabloids.
Complete text of Jackson's statement

Jackson, himself born out of wedlock, said his wife, Jackie, and their children were now aware of the child, and it had been “an extremely painful, trying and difficult time for them.”

A REQUEST FOR FORGIVENESS
“I have asked God and each one of them to forgive me and I thank each of them for their grace and understanding throughout this period of tribulation,” he said.
“No doubt, many close friends and supporters will be disappointed in me. I ask for their forgiveness, understanding and prayers,” he added.
A fiery advocate for America’s minorities, Jackson rose from poverty in South Carolina to win seven million votes in pursuit of the 1988 Democratic presidential nomination eventually captured by Michael Dukakis.

He has been a powerful force in the Democratic Party in recent years—although he enraged many in 1984 by referring to Jews as “Hymies” in a private-but-overheard conversation.
He drew fire for his support of the Palestine Liberation Organization, which some Jewish Americans consider a terrorist group, and for personal diplomacy trips to the Middle East and Latin America.
But he also brought about the release of a U.S. Navy pilot held by Syria and won freedom for 48 prisoners in Cuban jails.
Jackson first tasted prominence as a young firebrand in the civil rights movement of the 1960s. He was a devotee of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and was with King when he was assassinated, although some colleagues have questioned his recollections of just how close he and King were.
“I was born of these circumstances and I know the importance of growing up in a nurturing, supportive and protected environment; so I am determined to give my daughter and her mother the privacy they both deserve,” Jackson said.
“I will be taking some time off to revive my spirit and reconnect with my family before I return to my public ministry,” he added.
Officials at CNN were not immediately available to confirm that Jackson would take a break from hosting his weekly show, “Both Sides with Jesse Jackson,” which airs every Sunday.
He described the situation as a “private and family matter” and said he would not make any further comment.
NBC News’ Anne Thompson in Chicago confirmed the authenticity of the statement with one of Jackson’s publicists. Jackson’s scheduler, John Mitchell, also confirmed the authenticity of the statement for Reuters. The release was distributed by PR Newswire.

The Associated Press and Reuters contributed to this report.

I have little use for Jackson's view point on most things. I will say though, it took a lot of sand to say what he did. That's one of those little fresh breaths of honesty that Jackson comes out with every once in a while. Now he and Jerry Fawell(sp) can go off somewhere, have a good cry, and raise a toast to Jim Baker.

I would really like to see how Jesse accounts for the payments on his tax forms. He just might find out what it is like to be in the position he is famous for putting others in. News talk shows the rainbow coalition folks aren't happy with the payments. burn baby burn

Let me get this right: The reverand was one of Clinton's spiritual advisors during the Lewinsky mess, right? I heard somebody this morning ask if Jackson was in the delivery room touting operation PUSH.

He gives her a $365,000 house and $10,000 a month? I sure as hell would like to know where he gets that kind of money. Guess it doesn't matter as long as he goes away, but I'll believe that when I see it.

Baptist ministers must be very well paid . . .

or is it the wages of a "race-baiting poverty pimp"? Yeah, buddy, there's big money in Hate mongering, eh? I wonder how his supporters feel about paying for his pecadillos?

$10K/moonth to age 18 is almost $2.2 million. I hope that was some mighty fine poon'tang (ain't it funny how the free stuff turns out to be the most expensive?). What a hypocrite. I wonder how many other 'idiots of color' will use his example to rationalize their own behavior?

That's simple. The money comes from our tax dollars and also the extorted millions they get from threatening businesses with racial bias suits.

Nice racket eh?

"I will say though, it took a lot of sand to say what he did."

Or would have, if he'd done it BEFORE the DNA tests and tabloid story...

I've got no sympathy for him; Not cheating on your wife isn't exactly a huge test of character, in my opinion. Nor is confessing to it AFTER the story is out. One wonders exactly what sort of advice he was privately giving the President during those counseling sessions? "Be careful not to get her pregnant."? "Don't be cheap when you buy her silence."? "Pay for the rent through a third party."?

And if you think he's really going to depart from public life, I think you've got a suprise in store. Drowning that woman really forced Kennedy out of the spotlight, didn't it? This sort of thing only does long term damage to Republicans, because they don't have the media working as unpaid damage control teams.

Jesse still has a way to go if he wants to match his rival, NAACP head Kweise Mfume, in impregnating women outside of marriage: ex-congressman Mfume has at least three illegitimate children.

I do have to give Jesse some credit, though, for not convincing his lover to have one of those passionately-defended "safe and legal" abortions. No doubt many other political leaders would have (and have) rationalized sacrificing a child to avoid hurting their causes.

I can see Jesse returning to prominence in a few years. He will, of course, claim that enduring this embarassment has not only led him to new depths of humility and new heights of spiritual growth, but has given him new insights into the "critical needs of African-American families". Jesse can make the rounds of the talk shows and use the opportunity to discuss his mentorship by the side of Martin Luther King, who, he will put it ever so delicately but clearly, was also "a passionate visionary facing very human temptations" (wink, wink).

Just wait.
