Janet Reno "Kicks" in the door (metaphorically speaking)

BMiracle. I served in our military in a sh*thOle called Viet Nam. I did not fight to support Nazi America as promulgated by the Clinton/Reno regime. You may support our Commie-in Chief, but I sir, do not. I consider him a traitor, and would be dictator of what was once our free country. He has raped the Constitution with his executive orders, he has allowed that murdering bitch Reno to kill Americans at Ruby Ridge and Waco, and God only knows how many have been done in by the BATF.
How many more outrages by this group of would be dictators be allowed before the American people rise up and say ENOUGH?

I don't know your age BMiracle, but I am old enough to have seen this country, the greatest country in the world go into a downward spiral into becoming a dictatorship. I don't like it. I don't like what is happening and how it will affect my children and grandchildren. It is not the life I fought for and got shot at in Nam.

Whether Elian stays here with his relatives, or goes back to Cuba for the "reeducation" that BASTARD Castro has promised means not a whit to me. The fact that Reno and crew have used the same type of tactics castro would use does bother me immensly.

It has been said that people who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I believe that when I see what is going on. Welcome back to Nazi Germany, 1937. This time it's gun owners and Cubans, rather than Jews. Enoy your life, while you can.

BMiracle, let's get the facts straight before making such spurious claims.

"The child was an illegal alien in our country--that is it plain and simple!"

You are incorrect. There is a law, passed by congress in the late 1950's, that states any Cuban that makes it to the United States has the right to apply for political asylum and have his/her case considered, regardless of age or how he/she got here. what that means is that Elian, when he made it to the US, had the right to reside in this country until the determination of his case.

"What would you like for us to do next? Allow the kid to stay? Well then we would be hypocrites and have to open our borders to everyone. Where do we draw the line!?"

The United States has a history of selectively choosing which foreign nationals can immigrate here. Essentially, our immigration polcy has been historically hypocritical. Why should it change now?

"The kid belongs to his father...not the uncle!"

Incorrect. According to reports fromthe Miami-Dade Herald, and from the lips of Castro himself, as heard from the broadcasts of speeches he made in Cuba, Elian, and, in fact, all Cuban children, belong to the state of Cuba. Additionally, the kid, upon his return to Cuba, will not be with his father, but in Havanna with cuban authorities for a lenghty period of time. This was also reported in the Miami paper and confirmed by the cuban diplomat in DC.

"The majority of you whining have probably never served proudly in our countries armed forces. We have died protecting our borders so whiners like you can rant and rave with the freedom of speech you have not earned!"

Freedom is not something that is earned, it is a gift from God. However, like every other gift, it can be abused or taken by us and from us if not properly cared for.

"We, the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines have fought to give you this! You are just taking it all for granted."

I served my country as a corpsman in the Navy. I did it because it was a proud and noble thing to do. I never have, and never will, expect to receive anything from anyone because of my service. I have the satisfaction of knowing I served my country well, and saved the lives of my fellow sailors. That is all I ever wanted as a corpsman.

I've tried my best to simmer down and have to share a bit of history. I believe
the kid belongs with his father. My quarrel with Reno is how she handled the taking of the boy. I'm the son of Lithuanian refugees who vividly remember Bolsheviks (communist bastards) breaking into their homes in 1944 and at gunpoint telling them they have one minute to pack because the trucks are waiting. The desitination was Siberia (the last of my relatives was allowed to go home in 1994). Clinton's and Reno's tactics differ not one bit.

If they needed machine-guns to protect themselves, then they must have been expecting trouble. If they were expecting trouble, then why go at all? It's a custody case. The boy wasn't in any danger. He was being well cared for. The only reason to go was to make a political point. Since they were obviously expecting trouble, it is clear that they risked the lives of Elian & everyone else in the house to make a political point. Evil.

Elian should still consider himself lucky, though. The last time Reno let her JBTs rescue the children they burned the children's house down... with them in it.

i inserted the taco bell dog in the place of elian and made a caption."drop the chalupa"hehe
if anyone knows how to post it email me and i will give it to you

BMiracle

Thank you for your generosity in providing for my freedom. You should have been recognized much sooner than this for your heroic efforts. I'm going to mail my DD214 back to DoD; my own attempts at preserving the Constitution pale when compared with yours. Thank you again.

P.S. Are you dead? I'm just wondering, since you said "we" died for these rights I don't deserve.

BMiracle,

What the HELL are you thinking????

Probably 60-70% of everyone ON this forum is ex-military or LEO! The majority of us have ALL served our country and preserved its freedoms. Why is this such an outrage to all of us freedom fighters? Becaus we live in a country where it has become acceptable to ramp up the use of force by the federal gov't to ludicroups proportions to insurethat the will of the federal gov't is followed REGARDLESS of what the local populations wishes are.

That sounds suspiciously like tyranny to me. Our constitution was ORIGINALLY designed to LIMIT the federal gov't and insure the states their sovereignty. Now obviuosly a lot of that was lost in the civil war but the fact remains that there are a lot of people in this country who still hold the constitution and its ideals somewhat dear and are VERY VERY VERY concerned with this casual raising of the bar as far as use of force is concerned.

Now consider this DISTURBING fact... Supposedly there MIGHT have POSSIBLY been a gun MAYBE in the house so it necessitated a 20 person team of commandos and support personnel.

Well... the gov't well knows that I DO in FACT have SEVERAL guns as well as an ASSAULT RIFLE. So what happens if my kid makes a mistake or has a "friend" over who did something wrong and so my house gets stormed by what, FIFTY goons in full dress armor and submachine guns? I'm going to get killed is whats going to happen. Because if someone smashes my door open then I am going to shoot them and they are going to probably kill me.

I am no radical. I am a law abiding veteran who was willing to put my life on the line in the Combat Arms of the United States Army in Main Battle Tanks. But this is NOT what I was protecting; I was not protecting the right of the federal government to do a forcable entry into a private, unarmed (although that shouldnt matter) citizens home in order to enforce a custody battle without a court order!

Finally... think again before you go and piss off every damn one of us who *HAS* served our country and *HAS* put their life on the line for YOU but who still believes that there should be some limit to the federal gov'ts ability to terrorize private citizens.

Our Easter prayer is that Mr. Gonzales falls in love with Janet Reno and takes HER back to Cuba. Should Ms. Reno experience any stress at the communist "re-education" center, we'll be happy to supply her with Play-Doh in advance.

I was sitting around the kitchen table in discussion with my family today and we pretty much solved all the world's problems. While we were doing this, a point was made. Not to be sexist, but if this was the case of a woman wanting her son back, he would have been back in Cuba a long time ago.

I am not happy with the way either side politically exploited the boy or the way the feds went in and snatched up the boy, I am, however, glad he is reunited with his father, 'cause I believe that to be the right thing.
I also like the way Der Klinton and El Reno will have another black eye related to this episode and maybe some will see them for the losers they are.
I believe Klinton was threatened with and was afraid of another boat lift with Castro sending another batch of his criminals and insanes to our shores. That is one of the things that kept him from the governorship in Arkansas those years ago.
These statements are, of course, opinions.

If that were the case I'd be happy as well.

It's not. He's bound for reeducation camps (can you say Gulag?) on an island of slaves.

His grandmothers are currently hostages under the guns of JBTs much like the ones who snatched his son from free Cuban-Americans.
