Is this way out of line for a Gun Show or am I prude?

I'm walking down the aisle looking at Fal's and M1A's and this guy has a box full of Pornography selling it along side of Guns. I've been to three Gunshows in the last month and this same guy has had a table at all three. Yesterday I about had it when a guy was pulling boxes of Movies out in front of Fathers and there kids. I'm not here to say what people should look at but this is way out place. I'm waiting for this guy to end up selling this stuff to some kids under 18 at the show and it will be all over the news. I can see it now "What really goes on at Gunshows".
I'm use to seeing Models every once in awhile selling posters but thats completely different. Do you think I should bitch to the GunShow Promoters about this guy? I personally would appreciate if you guys/gals would voice your opinions on this. The Promoters are nice people and there trying to Build things up around my area because the Liberals shutdown one of the biggest Gunshow Hosts near me. The Valley Forge Convention Center in PA.

Complain at once,a gun show is not the place for this
stuff, we have enough problems and like any group we
should "police" ourselves.

Personally, I don't think this is a good place for this kind of stuff... Having said that.... we are either for the bill of rights, ALL of it, or we arn't for any of it.

You Bet!!!:MAD:I don't like seeing people, even wearing BDU, at Gunshows! more or less selling X-rated crap at them! Not the place!

Yes, talk to the gun show promoters. There's a big enough connection between sex and violence thanks to Hollywood, that we don't need anything strengthening it.

The last thing we need is HCI and MMM screaming about how gun shows are now the hot bed of pedophiles (sp?) and pornographers.

You should have been to the Richmond, Virginia, antique gun show a couple of years ago, Soda.

There were at least 4, and possibly more, dealers who were selling nothing by Nazi memorabilia.

Want to buy Eva Braun's silverware? You could, at $300 a fork!

Want an empty can of Zyklon B liberated from one of the concentration camps? Yep, you could get it! (Don't remember the price.)

Need a Nazi SS uniform for your next kiddie party? Only $1,500, and he'd throw in the Iron Cross!

One of the cars in the parking lot was a beat up old VW Rabbit. The license plate was PzkwIV (the basic German tank at the beginning of the war).

On the light lenses were the little "Eagle standing on Swastika" cap badges, that the owner had apparently glued there.

Once inside the show it was very evident who owned the Rabbit. A short, very fat, pig-eyed dips*** behind one of the tables. I'll give you THREE guesses what this fat a****** was wearing.

Hey, you got it on the first try, he was wearing all Nazi German issue uniform clothing!

It was entirely obvious that this guy didn't just deal in this stuff, he LIVED the Nazi mentality.

I spent 10 minutes screaming at the show promoter about how this was an insult to firearms owners everywhere and did nothing to expand his reputation or the reputations of law-abiding gunowners everwhere.

I demanded my entry fee back, got it, and left.

I can see people collecting Nazi stuff but thats pretty funny Having a bunch of Nazi's at a Gunshow HOW IRONIC. I would just Pick up a Garand say to the Guys "You Know why you guys lost the War" "You didn't have one of these"!

The main Reason I'm stating this is I find it Ironic that I just saw someone post something after me about the MMM's protesting outside a gunshow.

Gun shows should have guns (and mebbe knives) and gun accessories. No T-shirts, beef-jerky, jewelry, or pornography. I wanna see guns and gun parts and holsters.

I sent them a letter if anyone wants to complain to them email me and I'll give you there address. Please be nice to them There trying to build up there shows but they could use some better sense.

So, how would someone like me get uniforms for use as poster props? Is Finnish Winter War memorabilia (with swastika) out, too? How about Japanese, Soviet, etc.? A slippery slop we tread there...

I like the jerky. I'd rather piece of piece of that to chew on then the overpriced hot dog.

About the Nazis - they are sh*ts. I have some serious problem with people who buy that stuff when they are in to Hitler.

Anyone who makes new Nazi stuff (except for movies, etc)
are scum.

Ban them and the porno. Pressure the owner to do it.

Enoch Gale,

We open a big and Pandoraeic can of worms when talking about banning this and that. Why not simply rely on people not to buy any Nazi junk or anything from its peddlers and make the point that way?

OTOH, you may be right. Gun shows are private events and the promoters can set any rules they wish. Just that they ought to be careful lest they end up acting the way major media corporations do and suppress unpopular viewpoints. Though I have zero use for Nazies except as targets, I wonder if the precedent would get applied to JPFO or some other allies of ours next.

you guys are all wrong..

Don't you see, they allow porn to be sold at the gun show and in exchange, the libs (and Larry Flynt) won't protest the event! :D

Seriously though, that is an awfully odd place to be selling pornography. I could understand a "Stacked and Packed" calender, but give me a break. Would you want pornography to be openly sold at a fair, amusement park, company picnic or any other family gathering? You don't have to be over 18 to go to a gun show, right?

Looks like there are people out there running gun shows with some very poor judgement.

Given that no one has been able to even define porn

I wouldn't object to it being sold openly. Porn bores me but I'd rather that the forbidden fruit appeal of it was gone...same for alcohol and guns.

I don't have any problems with Nazi stuff being sold. What I DO have a problem with is the overt glorification of the Nazi regieme that this jackass was doing.

He wasn't a re-enactor, he wasn't a collector, he was a Naziphile.

He set my low-tolerance tone for the other dealers in Nazi stuff.

Displaying the Nazi cap badges on your car by gluing them to the running lights is COMPLETELY over the top.

I have no problem with individuals protesting porn or Nazi stuff at tables to a gun show promoter. We have every right to protest, and band together to pressure the promoter.

I have huge problems with government doing this, or people pressuring government to do this.

Having the right to do it doesn't mean I have to condone it or do business with those who do. Similarly, a gun show promoter who allows this stuff has the right to tell you to kiss off.

On the Nazi materials, there are guys at the shows here who are obviously militaria collectors, and I have no problem with that. The neo-Nazi types are another thing altogether.

I am the one to talk, anyway...when I wasn't even three years out of Russia, I ran into Trotskists peddling literature in Uptown Minneapolis. I threatened their lives. Wasn't a bright kid back then.

I do understand your indignation. Had my grandmother (the sole survivor of her large family, thanks to those fiends) encountered them at a gun show, there would have been casualties. I understand she still remembers how a TT33 operates. I imagine that the US vets would have a similar reaction.

Me, I worry about the nazies in disguise, the damn socialists.
