Is the AR15 going to fade from ownership?

Sure, make it nonpartisan. Has the PRB survived the loss of Laudisio?
It was an awesome place when it was in Willow Springs shopping center..It's move to 29th street, along with losing a couple of great chefs=it was circle the drain time. PLUS some 'issues' with a chef, and a part owner, and some white powder rumors and some embezzlement...etc, etc..

If allowed to succeed in taking ARs from the innocent owners, handguns will be next, then shotguns and then .22 and .17. The liberal leftists want totalitarian control, they don't care about anyone getting killed. If they cared about people's lives, they would have done something about Chicago a LONG time ago.

They don't care how many die from using illegal drugs, all they want is the tax money. Otherwise, they would not have allowed several states to make marijuana use legal.

They don't care about deaths from alcohol use either. As long as they are getting tax money off of the sale of same, drunk car driving deaths are okay. The problem they have with guns is that guns keep them from expanding to complete control and then abuse of the populace. Drugs & alcohol will not stop that at all, so they don't care.

There are people out there who, back when the political climate was (perceived to be) a little less gun friendly, went out and bought 10+ lowers and they are still sitting in plastic unbuilt. AR's aren't going out of style but when you've flooded the market and during a holiday weekend sale you can be all-in for a brand new AR for $300...thats just not sustainable.
