Is Anyone Planning On Getting The Taurus "View"?

That is one ugly revolver!

A year from now Smith and Wesson may introduce their new, tiny, "the Five" revolver. lol

I suppose they could have made the gun out of transparent aluminum. Movie sci-fi reference - who knows it.

Star Trek 4: The Voyage Home to be precise. Where Scotty types on a Mac Plus faster than a Mac Plus could process keyboard input.

I love how they don't even bother with the pretense that you will need a functional ejector. I do see the irony in sharing a name with one of the most odious TV shows of all time.

I suspect you would very much notice it if you needed to actually shoot it. Ouch!

I plan on only loading it with handloads. I'll have to do some testing but I have some Lee 130gr bullets that are normally very mild in my 642.

If I had to Lee makes a 105 grain bullet. Which may be around 110 with my alloy.

Getting them not to jump crimp will be a challenge I assume.

G&A talks about the frame being curved to fit the contour of the body in your pocket or something like that.

They also go on about customizing the internal parts so you can have jeweled hammers and triggers and the like to show through your clear side plate.

From a gunsmithing or educational view this is a good idea. But from a usability standpoint it is ridiculous. The perfect gun for the couple who woke up one day deciding they wanted a firearm because its what everyone is doing.

I’m sorry but I disagree. This thing is going to sell like hotcakes.
If Taurus can sell the Judge so well that S&W builds one people will stand in line for this thing.
Me? Not on a warm day in Indiana this winter even if they were giving them away.

Yes, I can definately see a lot of ill informed counter jockeys recommending this as the perfect CC gun for the ladies since it is so small and light. They'll find out soon enough after shooting it how mislead they were.

This chick shoots three cylinders of +P out of it.She's doing less crying than some on this forum.

She is someone that is probably around guns a lot. The women (like my sister for example) that are not really gun people and just want a little something for personal protection will shoot this once and probably put it down. At 2/3 the weight of a 642 it has to be pretty snappy. You could tell she was doing some flinching and even mentioned it was pretty snappy.

Here is the deal- Plus P is not necessary. Not at all-especially from a 1" barrel.
No one seems to understand that +P is pretty much advertising hype.
