I'm in trouble when my wife gets home!

My Wife wants to buy a House so I will not be buying any new guns this year but last year she let me buy a new Bushmaster and a new Carbon 15 type 97 for her and 12 USGI 30 rd mags and 3000 rds of ammo and 2 nice cases for them, and a range scope, and the year before that She let me buy her a Glock 19 and 2 high caps, a Glock 23 for me and 1 high cap and a 357 conversion barrel for it. Also let me buy a Ruger mark I for my Daughter and a Benelli Nova this year also. I have plenty of ammo and guns to get me through 2002 and this year I will refrain from gun buying and get my wife a new house (God willing) Life is Give and take and I took last year and will Give this year to my Wife. Always be honest because every time you lie about something you murder reality in the process. John

"It's easier to tell the truth if you have a comfortable couch." HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....ain't that the truth.

But seriously, tell her the truth.

If I did that, I would be shot with "her" engraved Model 60 Smith...
You need a separate "play money" account. That way, she doesn't get the credit card statement. She has no idea what "collects" in the safe...

I'm getting married in two months and I've already been in that situation twice, lol. Bought me a gun last year, and she was somewhat hesitant to approve it along with the "you don't need another gun" line. Then bought me another one just a few months ago, and same thing again, but got it though it took more work to convince her. I had to bargain with her and ended up settling for selling my P220 in order to get my P220ST. It was the only way! And digging out of the wedding fund was way out of the question. I take her to the range with me to get her into the groove of guns, hehe. Told her I would buy her a gun just for her next summer, AFTER the wedding. She is so far neutral to approval mode right now, but we all know who's it will really be for? ;)

But not to be mean, I really do intend to get her a gun just for her, really.:)

Same situation here. Getting married in two months. Money is always tighter than you think it is. Especially, with her in school…and now with a new .357 in my locker.

Think I’ll just keep in there and not let her notice anytime soon.

I started putting away $10 bucks a week in a big old jar just for such emergency purchases. She thinks it’s a great idea. At the end of the year there should be enough for a nice new toy. And she can’t say she didn’t approve of the idea.

gator, that is a really bad way to start a marriage. deceit and dishonesty only leads to divorce court, and then she gets almost everything.

as i said in my earlier post, the warm loving woman i married is more important than the firearms i own.

IMHO: happiness is a warm, loving, trusting wife.

You deserve her wrath. She wouldn't be a good ol fashioned Texas gal if she didn't chew you out for bringing home a 40 S&W anything :D
