I innocently stopped by my local gun dealer today.he had a like new 2 tone P229 in .40
with the case and manual and Sig night sights.Before I could stop myself I charged it and was out the door.Man am I gonna be in deep when she finds out.I hope it's worth it.
 
OK, just so you wont get in trouble for having it send it to me, I guess I'll have to take it just to save your bacon......;)
 
Been there. Done that. May do it again but I can't stand that feeling and my wife let's nothing get past her. My advice is to pay the card off and never let it happen again. In the meantime, enjoy that Sig even if you do only bring it out while she's gone for a few months. :D
 
Though this would surely start an arguement if you said it, would she rather you had eyes for firearms or other women?
 
I just talked my wife into an H&K USP, I mentioned this post to her, as I was saying how nice she was, Her advise was to save 2 bullets, one for you and one for the Gunshop:D

Of coarse she also is saving one for me for the H&K

At the moment I have a Glock 23. Just made arrangements to buy a HS2000 .9mm. Haven't told wife yet. Whenever I mention getting an additional gun, all I hear is "what do you need another gun for??"
 
My x wife #2, used to say its better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission. Life is too short not to enjoy it while you can. Alan
 
Your SO dead! Just kidding I hope not...I kinda did the same thing, just a little more expense. ...5 years ago..I brought home something and had it for 2 days before being KILLED, 10 times over when she found it. It was a sport bike..a 95 RF 900 Suzuki...Candy apple red and tweaked...AAAAHHHHH!!!
It wouldnt have been so bad ...except I signed her name on the loan without her knowing about it.....oooopppssss.

Did the same this year. Got me three AR15 and 3 hand guns. She never knew about it. I have a separate credit card for this type of purchases and the statement goes to my very own private P.O. Box. Shhhh. don't tell her.
And if she asks about it...What new gun? Oh that one, I got it two years ago!!! Don’t remember? you should paid more attention of what I have, you know I can't afford more guns...;)
Hide it well and enjoy it.
 
This is where cash is a definite advantage, same with a large collection (so you can hide a new gun among the old ones).

I'm contemplating buying an AK47, I don't have any rifles so I'm not sure how I'm going to explain it (I got $50 for christmas, but I doubt she'll believe I got it for that :) ).
 
Guys, I figured out a way to get around that. I buy me a new gun and follow it up with one for her and the cycle continues. She was there with me when "WE" (yeah right- more like me but had to include her in it) picked out the first revolver. Since then, its tit for tat. ;)
 
You have two other options:
Change the locks on the house and she will never know
Move out yourself and take the gun with you

You married guys crack me up!!!

mt_goodrich, what do you need another gun for? Why do you need someone asking you a question like that?

I sure hope it is worth it. I'll take the guns without the grief.
 
Thats why she has her card and I have mine, when the bills are paid and the kids fed, it's buy what you can afford,enjoy the others purchases.SAFE-SHOOTING!Congrats on the purchase,I am enjoying the recent purchase of a Walther P99 .40sw, Military OD German proof marks.On the card.
