I'm done buying ammo...for a year

As I now have at least a year's supply of ammo (based on the amount I shoot each week), I've decided that I'm not going to buy any more as I don't want to contribute any further to the ammo shortage.

I now have enough 9mm, .45, .40sw, .357sig, and .357mag.

What's your ammo stock like?

Are you going to keep buying or is it a case of ''enough is enough'' (like me)?

Worse then guns,I never have enough ammo.

And I am low now.

Time for me to start buying again now that the insanity has started to subside.

My local range sells reloaded ammo to the general public. It is probably my ONLY source of .380 ammo. I also buy 9MM ammo from them. I have shot their stuff at the range and it is extrememly high quality. Cheap too. 50 rounds of .380 ACP is $11.50. $13.50 for 50 rounds of .45 ACP.

My handgun ammo stash is not too great right now.

I've got enough components probably for a year's worth of shooting in .45ACP, but not in .38/.357.

I do have a few hundred rounds of .380 now which should last me a few months at least.

.22LR I'm covered for a bit.

5.56 I've got a couple thousand rounds.

12 ga, I'm good....;)

.243 Win a hundred or so

.30-06 - 50-60 loaded rounds and components for 150-200 more.

I'll still buy a box or two here and there to beef up the deficiencies in the stash.

I've got some .38SPL that should be delivered today from ATG (200 rounds Federal LE 158gr +P).

Nowere near enough right now.
12ga wise: I have about 25 slugs, 80birdshot shells :(
.22 wise: 400 rounds :(
.45acp wise: 12 rounds in my safe "just incase" :(

Need more!

I've got an adequate supply of handgun ammo stockpiled (9mm, .38 Spl, .357 Mag), enough to see me through any conceivable "extended situation" as well as a fair amount of range fodder. Count in the reloading components and I'm sitting pretty. For now.

I've only got 1 center fire rifle, and it is a .30-30. I've got enough ammo for it set aside to see me through a short to medium term "situation" if I'm careful about it. I'm currently working on the reloading situation for it, somewhere towards the end of the month I'll be up to par on the ammo and component stockpile.

Other than that, it is just buying .22 ammo when I can find it. You can NEVER have enough .22 ammo.

My ammo supply is good overall. I just ordered some more today. There is always another brand that I want to try out or I have shot up what I have. So, I replace it. But in a gross sense, I am well supplied.

Kind of low

havent bought hardly any ammo this year (ok, 80 rnds of .45 Win Mag) or reloaded any for nearly a year, so I am probably down to somehere around 10-12K pistol rounds.:(

Was at three gun stores and wall-smart. No 9mm and not much in other cal. Cubbards are as bare as ole mother hubbard. Some one must know something I dont. One store has been out of 22's for a month.

If you didn't want to contribute to the ammo shortage, you wouldn't have hoarded all that ammo in the first place:p

I'll bet if you're in Cabela's, Sheels, or where-ever, and you see a nice case of 9mm, .40, or .45, at a reasonable price (for these days) you'll snatch it up just like I would. And I have a TWO years supply of ammo!!:D However, I probably don't shoot more than 10,000 rds. per yr. for pistol.

Lower than I'd like. Probably only about 4K in pistol rounds and another 3K in rifle. Then another 3-4K in .22LR.

I'd feel much better with 10K of all of the above.

People ask me how much, I tell them about 2K assorted rounds not counting bricks of .22. Too them it seems like a lot. To me, it hardly seems adequate...

I buy 9mm and .22lr I have enough 9mm 1k rds im still buying .22 have about 5k rds ill stop buying .22 when I get to 10k you can never have enough .22 its cheap enough for a brick

We have somewhere in the neighborhood of enough. Im not saying exactly how much but I would still like more and Im still buying (if the stores would re-stock). :D

I have 1k in everything I shoot set aside as my "rainy day" supply, I will not dip into that last 1k. Other than that I am down to just a few hundred in a couple calibers, but I am out of .45, I just can't find the stuff.
