S&W, but not the current M&P...
one of the 10xx line...like a 1076 :)

Those rascals will last well into the next millinium with proper care.

We should ignore the poll and just post the name of our favorite pistol. this week anyway, LOL which is what these things always devolve into.

Its a tool box... I don't care you put the tools in for the job that's all... -Sam from Ronin

sorry but to me only one handgun always means a ruger single action revolver: either a blackhawk 357/38/9 convertible or 22lr/wmr single six. if it must be a semiauto then ruger sr22 because it is the only semiauto that i regularly shoot.

No option for "other"?

These threads are tough because I have to make an EXTREME compromise between plinkability, carry, and a hunting/magnum pistol.

Usually I pick something highly configurable even though I wouldn't likely purchase one otherwise. Something like an EAA Witness or TC Encore.

Today's choice that I wouldn't buy otherwise is the Sig P320. The trigger is pretty good, and I have my pick of calibers, frame sizes, and slide lengths. Even though a conversion kit costs as much as a whole new gun, it matters less if it's the only pistol I can own.

This way, I could have a LONG, fat, large, heavy and uninteresting subcompact 9mm for carry, a full sized 9mm for plinking, and a full sized .357 Sig (sigh) to almost fill out the magnum side.

Glock? OMG! I can think of much better polymer guns then Glock. I don't have or like polymer/plastic guns to me steel/alloy is real. But if I did I think I would go with Walther. I voted for Sig because I have Sig's but I did not see any CZ'S on there? Great guns IMO. Did not vote Walther because the only Walther's I have are P38's. Well that M/O.

I own my weight in handguns, my favorite to carry is Kel-Tec, and my least favorite to shoot is Kel-Tec.

My favorite to shoot is a Beretta 92, and my least favorite to carry is a Beretta 92.

My favorite to collect is Colt Woodsman.

If I can only have 1 it's going to cost you a Wilson Combat Tacticsl Supergrade 1911 in .38 Super built to my specifications!

Colt seems to be missing from the list. Curiously, though, they do not make a "1911." The do list "Government Model" in ".45 Automatic." I don't know why they don't call it a .45 Semi-Automatic. That would be like having a semi-automatic transmission in your car--I mean automobile.

For me it would be an XDM... 9mm...

For ME, the way I shoot it, with that ammo capacity (19+1????), combined with reliability...
