... I just hate to see a newer member getting called a "liar" because of his post count.

How about, that was an incredibly painful and nearly indecipherable read?

Whatever happened to the simple ability to construct a legible sentence...and follow it up with another? Did the TAKS test give us high-school graduates/college students who write at a fourth grade level?

(Rhetorical question...the answer is obvious.)

I've NEVER, ever, and I mean never, heard of someone who witnessed a crime being "interrogated" and end up charged for some entirely unrelated matter.
Yeah, all of my posts were about police interrogations of suspects, not witness interviews. After reading back a few posts, I realized that my posts were not exactly relevant in that a witness interview was what was being discussed :o. I got caught up in the general drift toward off-topic. Yeah, police have families, I am a member of a police officer's family. He's my father and he is a great guy. So no, if you are the witness to any crime and not under investigation, you don't really need a lawyer, you just need to tell the truth. Again, I was under the impression that we were discussing an interrogation of a suspect, not a witness interview. The objective of police is not to lock up witnesses. They don't want to do anything that discourages witnesses to speak up. Witnesses help their case, or at least their investigation, so locking up witnesses does not help them at all.

Everyone on this thread has my apologies for making my off-topic posts. These posts were made due to my laziness in failing to wade through previous posts.

He is not a college student. He knows a college student!

To MaxHeadSpace...post #7....thank you VERY much! Glad you took the time to point that out.... :D I'm far from correct all the time, some of that drives me crazy! (my wife says it's a short trip).

Mark.
