Shooting buddies...

When I'm seriously shooting, it's serious practice for me, like practicing a musical instrument or any small motor/fine coordination skill. I don't like to have anyone else at all near me, so I can concentrate on what I'm doing. It's best when the range is completely deserted except for me, but it's OK if the others there will shut up and concentrate on their shooting, and let me concentrate on mine.

When I "go shooting" with someone, it's not practice, and the shooting is not the emphasis--It's a social event.

My range time is relatively scarce--I can afford little of it for social events.

Go ahead, call me a cranky old loner. I've been called worse. And yes, I'm good enough to call the practice "serious." (It ain't braggin' if you can back it up...)

$$$ You got that right and she even tries to steal some out of my box !
Gee-Got me think'n maybe another shooting buddy-lol.

My wife is a decent shot but doesn't like the noise of the other guns at the range. I actually have had my best times at the range when I'm by myself but also enjoy going very much with my son.

I would also have to say my wife... who is a darn good shot with either of her handguns, or 20 gauge Remington 1100.
That's why I have never raised my voice to her in 10 years!! LOL

As long as my wife doesn't find out I go shooting with my girlfriend (and visa versa), it doesn't matter which I shoot with because they're both great shots and a lot of fun to shoot with! Down side is, if they find out about one another, I'm gonna get the hell shot outta me...

Organization and scheduling are key.

My wife is my best friend, we shoot well together.

I guess I'm pretty lucky in that I get to go shootin' with my Dad, my son AND my wife! Most of the time it's my son and I but, dad just got a couple of new guns and we're thinking he's itching to get out there and try them out. :D

Wife has been out with me and had fun, but she isn't considered a "regular" at the range.

Since over 25 years, at rifle range always with my son, occasionaly my daugther (she is a very good shoot with .243 or 6.5x55 ). Handguns I go alone.
Since our country do not allowed hunting with handguns, and not allowed to take them out of the house under no circumstance unless you are member of a club, then you could only thake them to that club (need to practice a minimum time per year , need a transport permit renouvelable each year for that activity ) Is a pain .... but I comply in order to have the right to keep the handguns otherwise they oblige me to sell them or tuned in.
