Since our leader, George W. Bush, is the "devil", for doing such things as using his veto power (the U.S.'s U.N. veto power, through the U.N. rep, that its), as Chavez said in his speech today, seems that both Venezuela and the United States (and others) would be better off to, ya know:

Get the U.S. out of the U.N.

and

Get the U.N. out of the U.S.

It's win-win, baby - not rocket surgery!!

Mr. Chavez has some serious juevos. The next time he has a natural disaster in his little country, he'll be begging (and probably receiving) U.S. aid worth millions in resources and plain old cash.

The United Nations is without a doubt the most corrupt, useless, organization on the surface of this Earth! $67 BILLION DOLLARS in oil for food money STOLEN by that worthless thief Kofi Annan, and no one is even questioned, let alone held accountable. These people should be strung up! We don't have to pull out of the UN, just stop funding it. It would collapse in 6 months, and good riddance. Perhaps the National Rifle Assn. could take over the building. They could always use more room! Bill T.

While im certainly no Bush supporter, hearing that sawed off little man chavez call our President the devil right here on american soil was abit much.

The concept of "united nations" is goofy anyways. Bush sitting in a chair next to Chirac, acting like old buddies, yet as soon as they part ways Bush is probably commenting in private about "how that frenchie smells to high heaven" while Chirac is calling Bush the "ugly American"

Did anybody notice how much applause Chavez got for his little speech?

Everyone here knows I'm no Bush supporter, so it should come as no surprise when I say that the 'sawed-off little man' had a valid point.

Thats because the "people" who are applauding him are gutless little turds just like him. They come to the UN to act tough because it's the only arena where they have as many words as the super powers, plus have a captive audience. It's totally ridiculous. They seat the United States ambassador next to "Cameroon", or some such stinkhole who's entire GNP doesn't equal what "Toys R Us" does at Christmas time! Bill T.

Cameroon GNP in '98 was $8.7 billion.

Toy-R-Us revenue in January '06 was $11.2 billion.

Chavez is a clown. A dangerous clown who is widely hated by his countrymen.

As a permanent member of the UN Security Council, we have veto power over just about anything they (the UN) do. The UN could do a lot of damage to us, if we were not part of them.

Like it or not, this alone is incentive to stay a member.

The UN could do a lot of damage to us, if we were not part of them.

The UN would not exist if we were not part of them. If we exited that worthless bunch they would go into financial collapse within months. Who the hell is going to fund them? They would drown in their own bull$h!t. It's easy to talk big when someone else is footing the bill. Bill T.

I would not advocate the US dropping out of the UN. I would change my contribution to the UN to match what ever the least paying security council member is paying. I suspect the UN would go under as a result.

This is what is scary---you knew there would be a few people here in the US that actually feel this way. Sad.

The best thing we could do is reposses the land and UN building, make the make the lowlifes pay their back fines, boot them out to set up shop in Mugabestan and cut off all funding.

The UN could do a lot of damage to us if we were not part of them.

That's BS, it's far more dangerous for us to be a part of them because we're financing our own demise through them.

Exactly. They would scream and cry, but the result would be the same, financial collapse. If they want to kick us out it won't matter, they'll fall apart without United States dollars. We fund the crap out of that organization and all they do is kick us. That money would better serve Americans. The hell with them. The United Nations is the most impotent organization on the planet. They accomplish nothing except for making money dissappear. They've got that move down pat. Bill T.

If we were to stop "overpaying" the UN and cut back or elininate our Foreign Aid "gifts" I think the average American's life would be a lot better. Think about the tax cut we could get and the reduced future taxes paid. We had tried for years to "buy" friendship... it doesn't work. Never did,,, never will..

I believe that today is the Iranian President's turn to make a speech at the UN....I wonder what nice things he will have to say about GB? :D

AGREED !!!
U.S. out of the U.N. !!!!!!!
