Damn, accordingtome I have read thru this thread I have to say I agree with you something needs to be done. I was reading an article earlier about how citizens in Arizona are going to patrol the border and how the government is afraid that things are going to get out of hand. Did you know they captured 1.1 million illegals last year so how many didnt they catch is what I would like to know.
To that comment all I can say is the world is what we make it we can stand by and do nothing or we can raise enough hell that our elected officials have no choice but to listen.

thelast2.. thanks bro.. If you ever come out here you would see it. There are countless illegals that come over everyday. The cops are not allowed to stop them as that would be harassment and they would lose there job.

When I moved to the US from the UK, it took several months to get a visa. When i got here, there was more paperwork and interview, and I wasnt allowed to work for a few more months! I paid $100's, got shots in London, and had my life history scrutinised.

oh boy is this a slippery slope. in an earlier post, i referred to ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS as WB'S and i was raked over the coals about it, so you wont see me using that term
again on TFL. having said that, i totally agree with the original post on this thread. the illegals are a HUGE problem. what ticks me off the most is that they dont want to become Americanized, they want us to cater to them with signs in spanish,etc.... and to see them driving around with a mexican flag plastered on their cars, if mexico is so damn great and they are so proud of it, why on earth did they come here??

thats true, but there comes a point when you can have too much of a good thing. our education and healthcare systems are already overburdened and its just going to continue to get worse. pollution and crime also are made worse by the influx of illegals. i know that most of these people are honest folks who are just looking for a better life, but certainly a good percentage of them arrive with bad intentions, and some who arrive with good intent have to turn to crime when they cant find jobs.

I'm sorry if you don't like accents (both my parents have one and neither is an IA); I hardly think a foreign accent is a definitive indicator of Illegal Alien status.
I'm also sorry if the tellers at your local Jack-in-the-Box aren't college educated and Omaha raised. But you can certainly make a small impact on that one....you're a pretty articulate guy- apply for a teller job at Jack-in-the-Box and take back that little piece of American soil. Now, that would be a statement!
