I think it's important for all of us to get the license to support the ccw program in great numbers.

I think it's important that many people carry regularly, to provide a responsible armed populace. Sometimes I will be one of these, sometimes not.

I am registered for my concealed classes on thursday at my local range, so I will very soon be able to carry. I plan on carrying as regularly as I am legally allowed to (as long as I am not at school, or at work)

I live in Iowa, we just dont need to carry a lot out where I live, always one close to hand tho so leave them farmers alone...

I like to have the option of carrying, especially in my car which is both comfortable and convenient.

If I stop spending my money on rifles, I will get a seecamp 380 and tha will probably be easy to pocket carry.
I am getting at least my SKS hard chromed first though.

I don't carry concealed..often

Because
1) 90% of my time away from home is going to/from/at work, where firearms are not allowed.
2) I seldom visit areas where there is significant risk.
3) Most of the time when I do leave home armed, the gun stays in the car.

That said, there are times when I do carry, but they are few. One of the times is when I am transporting firearms (to/from range, etc.).

I live in a rural setting, nearest neighbor is hundreds of yards away (and that the wife's mom), I seldom spend time on the ground in urban areas, aside from weekly/biweekly shopping, and I have not been in any major city in the past 20+ years.

I have a CHL to cover myself legally when I am armed, and to avoid the state waiting period, which is waived for CHL holders. Carrying concealed on my person is just not a large part of my lifestyle. Having a firearm available to me, but not on my person is sufficient for me, most of the time. It has worked well enough for the past 30 years, and I doubt that will change if I should happen to have 30 more.

I have my CWP, but don't carry now, because my gun is back for repairs at S&W. When I do have it I don't carry that much now, as it is a 5906 tank and the only holster I have is a Blackhawk CQC Serpa, which I need to get a quality gun belt for, or either order a decent IWB such as a Milt Spark VM2 which currently has a 6 month wait time. Also have noticed Milt Sparks monthly order quota is filled within the first couple business days of the month. Want a 6906 for easier CC, but that ain't going to happen for awhile. :(

I carry when it is legal and I have clothes on. I have little use for the prediction of an area is safe in normal life. I believe in being prepared for the Black Swan - meaning the horrible consequence of an unexpected event.

What's the chance of being accosted by murderous racists going to a cello concert? Quite low - been there, though.

I am not allowed to carry in Suffolk County, NY.

People living in many counties upstate are allowed to carry, and they are issued carry licenses good for the entire state except New York City.

Therefore, they are allowed to carry here in Suffolk County perfectly legally but I, a taxpaying resident, can not.

I don't carry concealed because...

of what "the system" did to Harold Fish.

I carried concealed for nearly 20 years, now the only thing I carry is pepper spray. I figure that I can gas the crap out of an attacker and the worst I could be charged with is aggravated assault.

When it comes to home defense I'm all for firearms. But as far as on the street, I made the choice that it is no longer ideal for me.

You needed another catagory called Peoples Republic of Kalifornia.

I don't CCW because it's almost impossible to get the permit.
