I am about to trade my gun off and I need some advice.

What would you do?

The gun store had a Shield 9 in stock. Do you think that would be a better choice?

I had the XDS 9, Kahr CW9, Kahr CM9 and ended up with a Shield 9mm NTS. The next XDS will be in .45acp. YMMV. tom. :cool:

Well, never owned the Kahr 40, but have read and heard of frame breakage in this caliber, might be something to check into before purchase.
I owned a shield 40, really didn't like it, had some issues with on several outings, lost my confidence in it and sold it.
Now own and carry the Glock 23, it has never failed me, and it is not at all difficult to carry concealed.
I recommend the Glock, will shoot anything you put in it, and very reliable.
If you think the medium size is to big, then consider the Glock 27 subcompact.
I personally feel that Glock's are the most dependable guns out there.
But that's just me, it's really whatever you want.
