Huntin Trucks

USNairman

That is a wicked lookin little yoda, the camo really looks cool on a hunting truck I have too much chrome on mine to hide. Not to mention the Flowmaster dual exhaust thats gonna be on it before deer season. I think I might have to be walkin and leaving the truck parked somewhere.

05 Nissan Titan SE with every option minus leather seats and sunroof. Captions chairs, flow through center console with shifter, and fold up rear seats!:p

This is my daily driven hunting rig. 96 Jeep Cherokee. I don't go looking to get stuck, but I go anywhere and everywhere I want to in it.

Here in Virginia its a brown 1996 Grand Cherokee with 100,000 miles on it.
In Georgia is a red (spray painted over day glow orange) 1983 GMC full size pickup truck truck that was originally owned by the GaDOT.

Sad to say my hunting truck just got totaled... it was a 99 jeep wrangler sahara..That truck took us many places... Colorado... Moab utah.... Sad to see her go..

1988 Toyota 4Runner. This truck has a new R22 factory motor, and a rebuilt auto trans. My son put over 300K miles on the original engine. Its a 4X4, with good tires.
So far, it has taken me everywhere I needed to go. In Florida, that means the beach, swamps, forests and highways.
Getting 27mpg on the road, 19 around town. 500 watt blaster stereo as well.

Here's my old but dependable hunting, fishing, camping, 4-wheeling rig. Can be a pain to load deer sometimes, but man does it go. Lockers in the front and rear, 4 speed, manual lockout hubs = Gas Hogg. But it has sentimental value, first new vehicle I ever bought.

This is my hunting truck. Chevy Silverado Z71, 2005. I bought it last August from a co-work that was transfered over seas. I had just sent my last child support check the month before.

Dirty Harry I was towing a camper back from vacation going through maryland and a guy cut me off and slammed on his breaks. I had no room to stop.. The good news is I got my new rig tonight.. Its a 2002 Ford sport trac with only 43000 miles on it...

How's this?

2005 Ram Quad Cab Hemi outfitted with Ainley 2 dog box...accessorized with my Shotgun, Dog and 13 Teal.

The truck that gets me to the mountain is my 99 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins Turbo Diesel. 6spd with 4:11 R&P, powerlock front, detroit locker in the rear. I'm just over 300 hp and 700 ft lbs of torque at the rear wheels. From the camp in, it's the horses' job to get me into the woods.

Well I think my trucks career as a hunting truck is almost over, it goes in Thursday for a nice shiny set of Flowmaster dual exhaust pipes. Single muffler with dual outlets and two big ol 2.5 inch pipes coming out the back end.

It had too much chrome to be a real good hunting truck now youll be able to hear and see it a mile away.

You know what though this gives me an excuse to go to an auction sale and buy a cheap old beater chevy 4by gouger to have as a banging around rig.

Several people in this thread talked about Tacomas. If you own a 95- 00' Tacoma you should be aware of Toyota's current buy-back program. The frames are rusting out and they're giving owners 150% of the Kelly Blue Book value if the dealer determines that you've got a problem. This is something that Taco owners in the Northeast really need to follow-up on, the road salt we use up here is murder on these frames.

This is the best source of information that I've found: http://http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.f11b1d2/11

2001 Toyota Tundra. SR5 TRD off road package. The small rear seat is just wide enough for gun cases, hunting gear and spare clothes.
