Huntin Trucks

Everybody has one and if you don't I'm sure you want one. What is your hunting truck?

Mine is an 04 GMC Sierra Z 71 with every factory option except leather. Absolutely gorgeous truck but maybe a little fancy for banging around through the fields looking for deer but its sure purty. Of course it's a daily driver as well not totally dedicated to hunting.

My cousins that I hunt with also have an old beater Ford 4X4 that is great for hunting because anything that you wreck was ready to fall off anyway and if it dies everyone is only out a couple hundred bucks on the whole deal.

'03 Ford F250, V-10 gas sucker in it, 4 real doors, Game Hide cammo seat covers. 4-wheeler in the back and can sleep across the back seat - quick overnight hunting machine.

Same truck I drive around in every day. 01 Dodge Ram 4x4 with Off Road package. With the limited slip rear end I have only had to put it in 4WD once on a really muddy and steep hill. I drove around Holly Shelters Game lands two years ago when they were completely flooded and never had to put it in. The game lands got something like 17 inches of rain that weekend I believe.

I have a 91 Ford Bronco, 302, Eddie Bauer edition with an automatic. I have a T-lok in the rear axle and a Detroit electric locker in the front axle. I run the Michelin LTXs in 11.50x 31 for tires and Alcoas for wheels. It will go places in two wheel drive most won't go in four wheel drive. But then gain, I'm not near adventurous as I once was. But this rig has seen hundreds of miles on the Continental Divide.

My new work truck should be good enough to haul me and a few friends around.

01 Toyota Tacoma SR5 4x4 x-cab, 178K miles, Pace cab-high camper shell with "windoors" on the sides (very handy). NRA Life Member vanity plate on front. I want to put a winch on the front to get me out of jams which I have been in before in heavy rain.

"'85 Nissan 720 4x4 pickup. Its not shiny, but its rust free, and it will go where the big trucks wont "

LOL, I had a 82 King CAb 4X4 and it sure could go where the big guys can't. I was up on a ridge once and saw some dirt bikers, they said this was a bike trail and they have never seen any kind of truck or jeep up there. Miss that truck.

1964 International scout 154 4 cyl. 4 speed manual trans. would climb a wall, and pull a train. hard to get parts anymore though, but she's been a good one.

My hunting truck is also my daily driver. I have a 2007 GMC Sierra (new body style) ext cab short bed 4x4. Nicest truck I have ever driven. I also sell these things brand new so I am a little biased:D, but I love it.

1974 CJ-5 of course. 304 V8, 3 speed T-15 tranny, Dana 20 transfer, Only the tires (and the rust, dents) are not factory original. It aint pretty but it gets the job done. Its not afraid of water, mud, trees, or anything else (But I am now:o)

Unlicensed 1988 GMC Jimmy 4WD with a soft top on the back end so it can double as a pickup.

We named it "Samson". Goes through everything.
