HUGE Snubbies?

The 625

The gun was built byu the S&W Performance Center. I've never fired 460 Rowland through it, but I have shot 45 WinMag factory rounds without a problem (Other than the fact that the federal cases don't like moonclips).

I have carried the gun every now and then, I usally carry a 1911 and if I'm in the revolver mood, the 325 PD is a lot lighter.

I recently had a local smith do the same conversion for me on a S&W 625 Mountain Gun. That one turned out pretty good, too.

Thanks Asmodeous - those are some beautiful guns! S&W Performance Center, huh? Did they say anything about shooting WinMag or 460 Rowland (or full-house .45 Colt) through it? Like - do they still guarantee it?

BTW - what's the barrel length on those puppies (the two 625's) now? Do you know what they each weigh in at?

Well there are quite a few good photos here, thanks for all of them.

And Jbar (maybe I should say Mr. Jbar :D ) that is definitely an interesting looking piece you have there. It looks snubby to start with, and then I notice the barrel is about the same diameter as the scope...

Sorry I missed the questions asked last month...

S&W does not warrent it to shoot 45 WinMag; it's just capable of doing so. I've only put 6 rounds through the gun and it wasn't pleasant. Full house 45 LC loads are not a problem, nor are +P 45 ACP loads.

Not sure on the weigt; probably not much different from stock guns. The S&W PC 625 is a 3", the MG is a 4"

I thought he was asking about big bores?

You know Big Bores...
