How would your LEO react?

you obviously didn't appear threatening, or criminal. If you looked like a thug, he'd have taken you down.

My guess is that you were dressed in golfing clothes. ;)
 
That encounter would be a complete non-issue here in Indiana... Open or CCW, they are the same in a free state.

If I survived the SWAT traffic stop, I would spend the next 20 years picking up the soap in the Cook County Jail shower . . . :eek:
 
I think in most cases it all depends on the deputy/LEO. In gun-friendly areas, there are still the Barney Fife's who think they are the only ones who should able to carry - PERIOD. And vice-versa. In Ohio, you can legally open carry or obtain a CHL to conceal carry. But I think there is a stipulation that if you are CCWing, it has to been concealed and, some LEO might make an issue based on that.

I would say MOST LEO's that I have encountered would have done the same as the OP experienced. The LEO's I know personally are all pro-2nd admendment and support/encourage citizens obtaining a CHL.
