How much do you spend on guns/shooting?

Not much, maybe $200 a year in gas, ammo, and range fees. I'd like to go out more, but my range has limited hours and I have limited free time, so it's a bit of a bad combination.

Biggest cost was upfront when I was buying guns. Right now I'm pretty solid on that front. It helps that I shoot .22's almost exclusively.

If I had more money, I'd probably shoot more. I really like shooting clays, but I only do it maybe once a year, if that, because I know that's a cost that can spiral up darn quick.

Friend and I once added up the cost of a couple of deer....4WD truck, winch, guns, scope, ammo, licenses, tent, stove, camp gear, boots, clothing, fuel, all of it......came out to about $75 a pound. Lucky we used a tent, a trailer or RV would have really put us over the top. Since then, I don't think about the cost of a hobby, either enjoy it or give it up....

According to my wife: too much.

If you ask me: Not enough!

Been buying guns lately, but I've also come into some good estate sale type pruchases that by the time I sell what I don't need, I'm reloading all or most of my ammunition for free. Won't last forever, but I'll take it while I can.
