While I don't drink and carry, legal or not, I feel it *technically* should be related to the legal driving BAC level. If the BAC level for DUI is .08, than it should be for carry as well. IMO, getting behind the wheel with over the legal BAC in a potential weapon (car) is the same thing with the same potential consequences as carrying a gun while being over the legal BAC. Walking through the bar area in Outback to get to the restroom or sitting in the bar area with friends/wife who may be drinking while you are not (or just having one beer) should not be illegal IMO. Riding my Harley is another good example. I don't have saddlebags to lock my gun up if I stop at a bar for a poker run, etc. so basically I can't carry when I ride in a group/event who may be stopping at a bar(s).
We are responsible adults that passed the requirements to carry. Give us the freedom to make the correct choices. The people who make the wrong choices are going to carry anyways, legal or not.
