I am almost sure the it's illegal in every state to carry inside the BAR/CLUB or anywhere where they sell alcohol except for restaurants I think.
Why are you sure, and why should it be illegal? One would be hard pressed, while traveling thru Nevada, to find a place to eat that didn't also have a bar and slot machines. It's common to have to go from the restaurant thru the bar and gaming area to get to the restroom.
I have on occasion, sat at a bar and drunk a non-alcholic beverage (legally) while waiting for a table--like at Outback. The standard in my state for alchohol comsumption is the same as for driving.
It's strongly recommended that one doesn't go drinking while armed. I wouldn't do it, even if I still drank.
A while back in the small town of Winnemucca, Nv., a gentleman was in an establishment (best described as a roadhouse/bar/nightclub that also serves food) in the early hours of the morning, doing I'm not sure what (probably eating), but he wasn't drinking.
A man with a gun came in and murdered another individual at the bar--emptying his pistol in the process and hitting two innocent victims.
As the murderer was reloading his pistol, the gentleman I mentioned, drew his licensed 1911 and shot the murderer once in the chest, followed up quickly with one in the head--- ending the matter rather decisively.
The samaritan was questioned and released. Had he been drinking, I'm not sure things would have gone as well for him. Even the liberal Reno Gazette Journal didn't make an issue of it.
The shooter spotted his adversary in a bar, left, and came back armed.
Incident was, reportedly, a revenge shooting involving two individuals, said to be gang affiliated, who were residents of a country that has a common border with our own.
The samaritan was unaware of the nature of the shooting, and saw a man empty a pistol in a bar, shoot multiple people, and attempt to reload. Bar patrons generally praised the man and felt that he'd saved innocent lives--especially their own.
