I am almost sure the it's illegal in every state to carry inside the BAR/CLUB or anywhere where they sell alcohol except for restaurants I think.

SO how many of you carry anyway when going to the bar?

I don't carry where I'm not supposed to and I don't go where I cannot carry. Fortunately I'm well past the age where sitting on a bar stool holds any appeal.

Perfectly legal to carry in bars here (Co), but if I'm at a bar I'm usually having a few beers so no carry for me.

It's perfectly legal in the state of Indiana to carry in a bar. I have witnessed gatherings of pro-gun people in a local bar, all armed to the teeth with various guns and knives. I was worried that by putting armed people and alcohol in the same room, that suddenly people's guns would leap from their holsters and start committing murders, because Sarah Brady told me that a gun in the bar will kill like, 7 cops and 300 nuns.

In all seriousness though - if I'm having more than 1 beer, I'm not carrying.

I carry in bars all the time. In fact we are in he process of opening one and will carry at work all the time. It is completely legal here in Oregon. I would not do it if I drank though. Since I do not drink I see no problem with it.

Virginia prohibits concealed carry in establishments that sell alcohol for on-premises consumption. Open carry, however, is not illegal (provided that the establishment doesn't have a rule prohibiting possession of a weapon on the premises).

WoW, are you serious they have states that allow carrying in the bars??? Holly I moved to the wrong state. Just to make sure, anyone knows Texas carrying law??? I am almost sure they don't allow in the bars but restaurants is ok, I could be wrong though anyone??

Guns and alcohol don't mix. Besides, it's illegal to carry in a bar in my state (Ga.). However, judging from the number of bar and bar parking lot shootings reported by the local media, there are an awful lot of people who do carry in bars. Which gets me back to my first sentence.

Not illegal in Indiana.

I don't go to bars much these days, and only slowly sip on one brew if I do, but yes, I carry.

Legal here in PA - I've done it, but I don't like it. I won't carry if drinking, but I do my drinking at home. Most of the locations my friends frequent, I wouldn't be caught around without a firearm. Too many wackjobs who are capable of putting themselves between me and my car. Its not that I want to have a gun on my hip while in a room full of inebriated people. The problem is, I'm normally not there for myself. My choice would be to eschew rooms full of inebriated people completely, gun or no gun, but on occasion I'm forced into it.

+1 on this:

I party at home or at a friends house...too many jerks in bars...drunk jerks.

I don't CC where I am not supposed to; Bars, Banks, sporting events...ect(Here in NC)

When I was younger I went in Bars where they should have given you a gun if you did not have one, but I stay out of bars now. Drinks and Beer are too expensive and if I did not drink I would not like being around a bunch of drunks. If wanted be around a bunch of drunks I can always go down to the City and stand around a fire barrel and sip some MD2020:D
