Glock 26 but right now I am looking real HARD at the 42.
I like SIG’s but I haven’t found one that fit me better than the 26 with mag extensions.

Go ahead and get the 42, you know you want it. I did, and did. :D

Just dont be too surprised if you still like the 26 better, once you do.

paid

They pay me to carry a Sig.

And for those of you as dumb as me, after checking all acceptable initialism's in the guides...........and not finding EDC........I expended considerable brain power to figure out that EDC means...........ever day carry.

Gosh

Used to carry a G26, then an acquaintance was involved in a shootout in his music store. He hit the robber a few times with 9mm but it did not have much of an effect on the guy as he walked into court 3 days later. It got me thinking about caliber selection at the time and I moved over to a G29. I'm sure 9mm is just fine but for a period of time after that it made me play the "what if" game in my head over and over. I am able to handle the factory 10mm SD loads just fine so no worries

I would imagine those exact same hits with the 10mm would have still had the same results.

People need to understand, there is no magical handgun round that is the Sword of Todd. Placement is everything. With real world targets being somewhat more energetic than the compliant static targets most practice on, and placement isnt a guarantee, for even the best shooters, you need to keep shooting until they are down and out of the fight. Caliber is irrelevant.

G19 for now. I'm shopping for a sig but it'll probably be too big to carry. Checked out a 227 last night and it felt goooood. Never owned a sig. I love metal but polymer is so easy to carry.

Sorry. Couldn't 'vote'.

There have been both SIG and Glock classes among the armorer classes I've attended over the years, and I've handled & fired a wide selection of each, so I have some familiarity with both.

I've never spent my own money on a SIG, although I presently own 3 Glocks.

I couldn't 'vote' for the Glock option, though, because I don't carry any of them a significant majority of the time as retirement weapons. I also own other make/model pistols, and revolvers, which see a lot of training & carry usage.

Among the folks who have elected to carry a personally-owned duty pistol at my agency, I've seen more Glocks and M&P's than I have SIG's.

Knowing cops, it might have something to do with how much of their own money they're willing to spend. :D

I recently changed to a glock. It was a sad day, but I couldn't deny practicality over emotional reasoning. I just shot better with the damn glock. I still love and carry my sigs... Just not as often unfortunately.

I previously preferred my Sig P220 (DA only) as my carry .45... but since purchasing a Glock Model 30 I prefer to carry it due to my being more familiar with the Glock platform after having carried one as a duty weapon since the early 90's.

I carry neither. It's either HK, or early Walther pistols for me (PPK/S, or P5). Usually you'll find a HK in an IWB when I'm carrying an auto loader. My two current favorites are the HK45C and the HK VP9. Don't own a Sig, or a Glock. Never have and likely never will.

When I want a smaller gun I carry my p224. I have a full size Beretta PX4 that I carry when I want a full size so the Sig is only part-time though.
