How many mags?

I like 10 Mags per gun, that is realistic and in todays 10 round world that is 100 rounds in Mags before I goto the Range.

Realisticaly I am trying to get 18 for each gun I own, I use those velcro bags above in the 8 mag config. I want 2 of those filled per gun I own. ;)

PROUD TO BE CANADIAN

I always go for at least 5 (post ban) per pistol in routine use. Most of my pistols I now am up to 10 magazines. 5 in use and 5 are now in "deep storage" ie: I put them in a sealed drum and coated/soaked them in CLP. Most of the deep storage mags are my hi-cap collection.

I try to routinely buy any "reasonably cheap" new hi-caps when I see them. For example for my M1A's I have over 30 government 20 rnd mags, my MD84 beretta I have 7 13 rnds, MD96, 8 11 rnds, p9 5 12 rnds, etc.

Murphy's Law applies to everything, particulary precise mechanical objects that rely on small, breakable parts.

My law is to figure out how many I should reasonably have, and then double it. And then get some more just because I an a hardware junkie. And buy any pre-bans I see at "reasonable" prices (HAH!), cause they are just like real estate: they are making any more.

Three per gun seems like a reasonable number, for all the reasons discussed above. Right now I've got 5 for my Sig P226, with two more on order. Also 5 for my Glock 22, with one on order. Only 3 for my 1911, but there are several gun shows in the area in August, and I've been putting off ordering any until I see what I can find at the shows.

Anything worth doing is worth doing to excess. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice.

New Beretta 96 Border Marshall - 5 factory mags: 1 in pistol, 2 in Bianchi leather mag pouch, 2 new in blister pack storage for the future. BTW, several months ago Beretta quoted me 3-4 months delivery on a 96 mag order from them, $34 each, plus shipping. I found three at Turners Outdoorsman for $28 each (all they had at two locations).

Two .357 Mag S&W Model 586s - 3 H&K speed loaders for each revolver.

I found several mags for the Radom from Forrest, Co. 1-888-372-5968.

Call and ask if they have them in stock. If they do, you'll get quick turnaround. Otherwise, you may wait for months.
Their reputation with the Curio & Relic collectors is spotty; my experience has been good, but I've learned that you've got
to ask the right questions.

I got three for $20 each. They functioned fine.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that these magazines work in my SIG P-210, although they don't lock back the slide after the last shot, due to a different shaped follower. Getting new followers from SIG, if you can find them, is $20+ each.
