About a month ago I heard someone say they have over 23 guns, and another person say they have 34 guns. To me this was a lot but after reading it seems that it is not unheard of it have 40, maybe 50 guns or even more. How many do you have?

I have 3. Browning BuckMark .22 Ruger SR 9 and S&W M&P 9

Not enough.

In all seriousness I currently own 10, with an 11th joining the family sometime next week. I only started out in shooting a little over 4 years ago, so I guess I'm not doing that bad for myself. You will find that most around these parts have quite a large collection of guns, but then again you are a forum that caters to gun nuts an that is going to skew your results a bit.
 
I sell and trade all the time, so I don't just buy them and buy them. At any time I have about 10-15.

Friend of mine never sells them. Has about 800, all in his house.

One of my friends has three Browning 52 guns safes - all full, others have even more - these guys NEVER sell a gun, whereas I will trade off something I no longer use to get something new
 
I read Jene Hill one time where he was talking about this subject.

(Ask the old guys who Gene Hill was)

He said he only knew one guy who had enough guns. But he had a Rolls Royce he use to use to pattern his Purdy.
 
I know a guy that lost count. He has a large room in his house that has every wall covered, displays in the middle and the corners stacked full. Must be around a thousand in that room, and he has more in other places. Hope he puts me in his will. :)
 
I was over 50, but only because I was serious collector of Mauser K98s. I had a total of 47 of them before I felt that my hobby was turning into more of an addiction. There is a line between collecting and hoarding (and its different for every person) but I felt like it got to the point where I was just buying them, just to have them.

I finally thinned the herd. I kept the choicest rifles and sold off many of the duplicates and more common coded rifles. I'm down to 25 K98s now, but guns in total I'm still over 40. :)
 
None.. lost them all in a horrible boating accident. Horrible. :p

Seriously though, I voted but I'd rather not post the number. Now where did I put that tin foil hat ?

Have had firearms as a hobby for more than 40 years. Have been steadily employed at a fair paying job for about 30 years. I usually buy one, or more every year, and seldom sell. figure it out.:D
