This topic always seems to be floating around in my head. How many different handgun calibers do I want to maintain? I don't reload, so I'm sure that influences my perspective as I don't have all the ancillary logistics and gear of reloading.

I'm currently at 6 and would like it to be lower as I feel it is a lot. I do shoot 3 of the 6 in my rifles, so it isn't too bad, I guess.

22lr for practice; handguns and rifle
38 special for regular carry; handguns and rifle
357 magnum for range joy; handguns and rifle
44 special for carry on woods days; handgun
44 mag for carry in the woods; handgun
45 acp for hi risk carry; handgun

So... How many different handgun calibers do you support?

I like simple

9 mm -everyday carry with DRT
357 Mag -night stand gun (125 JHP), but 357 is like 4 guns in one with every 38 round

.22lr
.22 wmr
.25 acp
.32 acp
.380 acp
.38 spl
9 X 19 mm
.45 acp

I only counted .22 once in the poll. And I might have stretched the definition of "maintain" a bit. I have functional pistols (or revolvers) in all these calibers, with a bit of ammunition, but I practically never shoot the .25 and .32.

a lot

22, 25,38,357,9mm,40 cal,41,44,45acp and colt. then there are the single shots .223,.357 jdjones 30-30,45-70.

.32 ACP
.32 S&W Long
.32 S&W
.32-20
9mm Makarov
.38 Special
.357 Magnum
9mm Luger
.41 Mag.

I put down 8 but forgot to count the 32 mag. Today I shot 44 mag, 41 mag, 45 ACP and 22. Shot the mouse gun last and I am afraid I almost wet my pants when it went pop after all the bangs. For a second I thought something was wrong. Every shot after that was a 'pop' and then a giggle, guess I should have started with the 22.

The cartridges that I use in a handgun and reload for, are:
.25 ACP
.32 H&R
.32-20 in a contender (technically a wildcat: .308-.32-20)
.380 ACP
9mm Luger (9x19mm)
.38 super auto
.38 S&W
.38 spl/.357 mag
.357 max in contender
.41 Rem Mag
.44-40
.44 Spl
.45 ACP
.45 Colt
win-lose: Your list doesn't seem long at all. Mater of fact, instead of paring it down, you should be thinking about expanding it. Everyone should have a 9x19 mm and a .45 colt. If feeding all of them becomes a problem, well, than that is why God made RCBS presses

Counted fourteen off top of my head and it ain't enough!

.22LR
.22Mag
.32H&R
.32-20
.38Spl
.357Mag
10mm
.38-40
.44Colt
.44Spl
.44Mag
.45ACP
.45Colt
.480Ruger

Plus .44 and .54cal blackpowder pistols.

For now I have.....

.22lr
9mm
.357 (got a couple of these)

I have my eye on a .40 and a Makarov that may be joining my family soon.

does .22lr count? Other than that there's:
9mm
38/357
45ACP/AR
45Colt

I've been thinking about getting a 40SW just because I've accumulated so much brass for it. The I think, the last thing I need is another caliber to load.
