How do i stop surface rust on reloading equipment

I cover my press with a plastic bag from the dry cleaners (ask and they'll give you a few) secured with a bungee cord. After a quick wipe with gun oil of your choice just cover with bag and seal/secure with bungee. All my dies and die heads are stored in Tupperware style plastic boxes and labeled. The boxes are then stacked on a metal shelf unit for future use. Add some form of desiccant as you feel the need. Primers and powders are stored in the house.
