Florida also has the "Castle Law" which eliminates the need to run until you can't run anymore. The law as I understand it is if someone forcibly enters your home then he pretty much forfeits any right he has including the right to life. If Kentucky is the same I doubt this guy has much to worry about unless he did gave a false statement or the guy was a guest and they got into an argument or something along those lines.
