Higher-end 1911's: Any Comments?

For a multi-purpose pistol that might be carried into the boonies, I'd like to have it de-horned for comfort and finished in Metalloy (hard chrome) for durability.
And if I were spending the big bucks for a custom pistol, I'd also want a checkered (or possibly stippled) frontstrap, carbon fiber stock panels (for durability and a little extra safety in the event of a ruptured case), and either low-mounted adjustable sights or some sort of night sights, depending on whether target shooting or self defense were a higher priority. And I'd also want an arched mainspring housing, something none of the non-custom, high end builders offers (as far as I know).
If there's a Wilson pistol that fits that bill, I might buy it, or I might have a gunsmith build me a pistol from a Rock River or Caspian slide and frame set.

Its Ok with me if you don't agree with my opinion. You cannot convince me I "don't have a clue". My opinion comes from my experiences. Convince me I'm wrong with solid logic. After all, that's why we are here.

Saying things like "STFU" is very childish, indicating you have no real reply.

I take this to mean your mind is closed to any and all arguments to the contrary. To ask that someone try to convince you otherwise with "solid logic" would then be a waste of time. The original poster was asking for help in choosing a high quality 1911. You offered no constructive information. The responses you received were well deserved.
