Here's the post that puts me on the FBI's list.

A week or so ago a girlfriend and I were discusing something. I can't remember what it was or how it started. At one point I said; "Well at that point, they'd never be able to stop LA from Rioting." She replied jokingly " They'd have to call in the UN." I suddenly unjokingly said: "I do NOT want to have to travel all the way to California to cap a blue hat." PAUSE.
I really can't beleave I said that. It was automatic it was instictual and it was real. The thought of a UN presence in LA to "keep the peace" is wrong to me. Why do you think I had this reaction?

What's the problem Meiji_man?
Seems like a perfectly normal reaction to me. ;)

Blue Hat?
That some kinda beer?

All joking aside...
We DO NOT condone discussions of killing Law Enforcement Officers of ANY jurisdiction.
Look at the Member count... See how close we are to 6,000 members?
How many of those are police officers? Take a guess...
I'll give you a hint - a whole helluva lot!
We do not offend our members by letting this type of discussion continue.

I'll not close this thread - for some reason beyond me...

We all say some things that we instantly know we should not have... In that direction the thread may continue.
Anymore of this cop killing talk - and I will give the offender a true WWF Smack-Down from the top rope. :D

You might laugh in the face of FEAR... but unless your armed, its a nervous, unconvincing, little laugh.

Excuse me George,
But just how do you figure a UN soldier with a BLUE helment (hat) is a Police Officer?

This is a serious question.
I have NEVER in any of my posts condoned shooting a Police Officer and I don't now. I just want to know how a UN soldier is a Police Officer and not foreign troops.

Good Question.
Regardless of weather we like it or not - should the UN be on US Soil an enforcing law... Then they are LEOs. Plain and Simple.
Any resistance at that point is too late.

I would not like it either - I would dispise such a thing so harshly that I can not talk about it in a public forum. You have no idea what I would do - and I an't saying here.

You know - there is a good movie out called RED DAWN...

Dispite my personal feelings - Here at TFL, we dont talk about it on the forums...

Do you get me?

I think that most people here already know what they plan to do (which may differ greatly from that they actually will do). There's no point in discussing messy details as it scares off newbies, gives hostile lurkers fodder for prosecution and generally makes the mood worse.

Personally, I'd like to avoid fighting anyone, blue helmets, green helmets or mutant rats going banzai on me...guess I am just a softie. My efforts to learn riflecraft are for educational purposes only.

And there's the Rub.
I never said I'd go after Officer Barry Friendly LAPD. However the jury's still out on Cpl Idi Amin from Pakistan, (Or whereever)
Now what happens if this is at the Federal Goverments Request? Or if it's at the request of some self elected "Peoples Leader". Mob leader of the East Side Crips declares LA to be his peoples inherited Homeland.
PS if I ever start talking about kill police officers go head and Smack me around.
:D

Sorry George, but I don't see where plopping a UN soldier in LA and using them to control rioters makes them LEOs. By that definition, our troops in Bosnia are LEOs...something with which I doubt the Pentagon would agree.
Methinks you're going a bit far in your effort to not displease the LEOs in our membership.

Personally, I think that in a case like this the uniform would make little difference. When you focus ont he front sight, the enemy gets a little fuzzy...

I prefer to define the opposition on the basis of hostile actions rather than affiliation or uniform. Of course, certain generalizations will be made by all, regardless...

I believe Mr. Hill's concern over the tone of these public messages here is quite correct. As anyone from Tulsa to Sri Lanka can read these, our sense of humor is easily missed.

What really concerns me is the girl mentioned in the original post: "She replied jokingly " They'd have to call in the UN."

A long time ago it was THAT statement that might have gotten an FBI file started.

Regards

Personally, I'd let the Mexican Army clean up LA. A convoy of Duece and a half trucks with M2s loaded in the back and plenty of linked ammo will stop any riot.

With all due respect to the guys in the US Military, i wouldn't be too worried if the UN decided it needed to invade LA. Just look what happend in Somalia.

"[Even if there would be] few tears shed if and when the Second Amendment is held to guarantee nothing more than the state National Guard, this would simply show that the Founders were right when they feared that some future generation might wish to abandon liberties that they considered essential, and so sought to protect those liberties in a Bill of Rights. We may tolerate the abridgement of property rights and the elimination of a right to bear arms; but we should not pretend that these are not reductions of rights." -- Justice Scalia 1998

Meiji_man:

I wouldn't be surprised if everyone on these threads...as posters...is now on the FBI, ATF's listing. Computers are wonderful are they not? Big Brother is looking you in the eye as we speak.

Well, I'm not too worried about the UN right now ... we seem to be doing just fine on our own regarding the destruction of our own Bill of Rights.

The real concern is that you won't have to go to LA to see fascist forces ... they'll be right down the street, in your own town square. ;)
