Help Me Pick

Yeah..you said CCW. In my case that means pocket carry. Hate IWB and won't dress for concealed OWB. The PM9 and P238 are comparable size, but you know.... 9X19 / .380. Don't want to start a caliber war here, but, if nothing else, 9mm is much easier to find than .380.
I have a PM9 which, after the first 500 rounds has been 100%. I almost didn't keep it that long, though. Glad I did...my EDC now.
I am also a big SIG fan and fully intend for my next gun to be a P238. Really though, just for a "fun gun". The PM9 will still be my EDC.
Not much of a revolver guy. Have a couple of J-frames and a NAA mini, but can't really offer an opinion on the LCR. Looks cool, though.

I vote PM9 now...P238 later.

My tired old PM9 pic :o:

I love my PM9 and carry it every day, it has never had a failure of any kind since I pulled it from the box on Day 1 ... I haven't seen an LCR in real life, tho the reviews are excellent; remember it puts you two-three rounds down on the Kahr, and it's 9mm vs .38 if that means anything to you ... haven't shot the sig in question, tho sigs I have shot have been fine weapons ... I'd still take the Kahr ...

I also really like to use my sight so that is one of the down sides to the LCR, fast sight acquisition.

Not really a downside. The stock sights are actually pretty good for a fixed sight snubby and are easy to acquire. That being said XS is supposed to be releasing a tritium front replacement soon and I'm likely going to make this switch with mine.

I have a couple of friends that got Kahr lemons and that's sorta put me off of them.

Sig is Sig, though and their quality and reputation speaks for itself.

LCR sight acquisition

is very easy if there's a reasonable amount of light.

However, once the aftermarket comes out with some tritium or fiber obtic front sight replacements, I'll change it out, because in dim light or against dark targets it's very hard to see the sight.

On the bright side, the LCR is a great natural pointer.

I do most of my shooting in an inside range and the light is dim, so seeing those dark sights is getting to be a problem.
Everyone has shuck good reasons that I think this just made it harder for me to decide.
The CW9 mag & holsters interchanging is a nice bonus.
Thanks

I think the Sig will make it into the safe one of these days but it has fallen to a distant 3rd.
Mostly because of ammo availability, and my Keltec is able to fill that same roll right now.

So it's down to the LCR & Kahr.

The Kahr, like I stated before interchangeable mags & holsters that I already have & the slim design. I'm a fan of 9mm with CorBon ammo.

LCR I do like 38+ ammo and the weight of it is very appealing, it points very well in my hand as well. I have an sp101 and I'm thinking that the speed loaders I have will work and possibly a few of my the holster.

Maybe on the speedloaders. My HKS speedloaders for my SP101's do work after a fashion, but not well. The grip (standard not CT) gets in the way. You can position the rounds in the cylinder and drop them free, but just barely. Not a big deal for me anymore as I prefer and carry Bianchi Speedstrips instead.

Most of the SP101 holsters will fit the LCR. Specifically I have an AKJ Concealco IWB and a Don Hume JIT slide made for the SP101 that fit my LCR perfectly.

Perhaps the greater effectiveness of the 9mm v the .380 might make you lean towards the PM9.

Even though the .380 (about 200 ft/lbs) only produces about half the muzzle energy of a 9mm +P (about 400 ft/lbs), that does not mean the 9mm +P will be twice as effective. The 9mm +P should be "more" effective.

No Walther! Not a consideration.
I'm not debating the performance of ammo here either.
But the availability was brought up and is a factor.

XpatBubba it's leaning that way.
More capacity is appealing in the Kahr though.

With the other guns you already have - and you're down to the Kahr and the LCR - just go with the LCR then ......

it'll be something different to play with / carry - whatever ....

and add to your revolver collection down the road / a model 27, 29 - maybe a 4" mod 19 ... expand a little ... ( I have a nice 3" model 629 - a "Trail Boss" that's fun to shoot / a little too heavy to carry except on a trail )....
