Help Me Pick

So I’m looking for a new CCW gun.
I’m only considering one of these three and really don’t want everyone’s opinion on what “other” gun they think is better.
So my choices are a Ruger LCR, Kahr pm9 or Sig 238 w/night sights.
I’ve owned a pm9 before and really liked it.
Had a Colt Mustang and it was cool, Nickel plated. But the Nickel started coming off of the hammer and I sold it.(20+years ago)
I just handled an LCR and it feels really nice. I really liked the weight.
This choice will be for daily carry with a KelTec32 as back-up.
I will use it while biking, hiking in local parks and general carry.
We have coyotes around (2 just killed my cat, in my back yard) and some 2 legged vermin. I’m leaning towards the LCR.
A heaver bullet, but it is a little thicker than my other choices.
PM9 with crimson trace is very appealing also, so what do ya think?
I also really like to use my sight so that is one of the down sides to the LCR, fast sight acquisition. I think is will have to have crimson grips also. (being able to see black sights is getting harder to do)
Thanks for your help.

Out of those three I would pick the SIG. There's really no other choice of the three I feel as SIGs are among some of the finest made.

If you don't get a lemon, the PM9 is the practically perfect pocket carry gun in terms of caliber, size and weight.

Ya I like sigs I have 4 or 5 and feel comfortable with them all.
Ammo is a concern. 38spl I see all over, 9 also. 380 not so much.

Thanks So far...

I've never understood for the life of me why someone would want someone else to pick a gun for them. I must say IMHO you are just asking for problems by doing this. Pick the one YOU like because YOU are the one who will be shooting it. YOU are the one who will be carrying it. And most importantly if it is for personal defense then YOU are the one who is putting YOUR life and the mercy of that gun.

To me asking someone else to pick a gun for me is kind of like a 50% off shoe sale. It dont mean squat what the price of the shoe is if it isn't your size.

I've got a PM9 and I really like it, but I don't carry it. It likes certain kinds of ammo and malfunctions regularly with other kinds. With ammo right now being whatever you can find in the caliber you need, you have to choose a handgun that you know will function with whatever you feed it. That's one reason I carry a snub revolver. The one I have chosen is the LCR because of its excellent out-of-the-box trigger. Crimson Trace grips are a great option, but XS Sights is in the process of making a high visibility Big Dot tritium front sight, making replacement of the front sight an option as well.

No doubt, Kahrs and SIGs are both fine guns, but right now, for me, the choice is the LCR. Five shots for sure, regardless of what ammo you use.

Interesting mix you've chosen - you're mixing calibers from .32 - .380, 9mm and .38 spl ... Of the 3 you mention - I would probably go with the Sig - and that's based on my experience with Sig over the other 2 mfg's in terms of reliability and longevity / but I'm not a big .380 fan. I don't like the fit or finish on the Kahr or the LCR revolver - but you must, or they wouldn't be on your list.

I know you said you can shoot them all equally - but I would still recommend you try and go to a range where you can rent them / or maybe find someone shooting something real similar before you make up your mind.

I have big hands / and many of these smaller guns are really difficult for me to shoot - and the triggers on the LCR and the Kahr in particular are not to my liking. You can tell a lot by dry firing them / but its better to get some range time with them if you can.

Size is apparently your most important issue here / but before you make up your mind / I would add a gun like a Sig 239 single stack / and a 1911 in a 3 1/2" or even a 4" into the mix ( and look at the width, height and overall length - as well as the weight ) on both of those options vs what you have on your short list. A 4" 1911 / alloy frame 9mm is slim, light, easy to shoot and I like a 9mm Hydra Shok as a decent defensive weapon in a small package. Sig 239 comes in 9mm or .40S&W if you like a bigger caliber .... so I would expand your list to 5 guns ( but if you're stuck on your 3 - then I would go with the Sig and hope for the best with a .380 ).

Thanks Big J
Y ia lready have a Sig 239, a hkc, a 4in 1911, a kahr p9, keltec 32 I mentioned above and a few others.
It's just these three I'm looking for input on.

I just bought the Sig 238 and really like it. However, for your purposes I would go with the Ruger or the Kahr. The .380 has less power than either of the other two guns. You already have a very small and concealable gun in the KelTec. The Sig and the KelTec basically fill the same niche with the Sig a little more powerful.

I would probably go with the LCR. I like snubbies and the LCR really looks like an innovative revolver. A little harder to conceal than the Kahr but very doable.

I like Sigs...

... but also like the LCR.

As far as heavy bullets, though, I find that my LCR shoots closest to point of aim with 125 and 130gr +P, hits low with 110gr and high with 158gr. YMMV.

Kahr PM9...hands down.

It is the single easiest carrying 9mm gun I have ever had the pleasure of owning. It is not only so easy to carry that I forget to take it off at night but it is also a great shooting gun as well.

Thanks PBP
I have that Jit slide to for my cw9. plus a couple of other one's that would work just fine.
Another consideration since I wouldn't have to buy another holster, but I guess that is fun too.
