Iraq 05-06 (yes, just once... they wouldn't let me volunteer for another go 'round without re-upping).

That said, I do not consider myself a hero by any means. Yes, I was in combat, however, it was nothing like WWI, WWII, or VN. Only once have I been called a "baby killer", while 'Nam vets got it on a daily basis. You guys are true heroes, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for fighting for my freedom to fight for yours.

Dad, Navy, WWII, USS Savannah, lost 197 men of 800 man crew in a heartbeat off the coast of Salerno from German Dive Bomber.

20 years. 2 months, 6 days. US Navy in submarines. USS Haddo, USS Plunger, USS Parche, USS Greenling and USS Puffer. 1 tender USS Hunley in Holy Loch Scotland. Shore duty FLEASWTRACENPAC San Diego and NAVSTA Subic BAY RP.
