Two topics:

1] What is your favorite firearm used in any movie. Name the gun and movie.

2] Same thing as above but a shooting scene, name the weapons too.

My favorites are 1] Matrix Lobby Scene, 2] ending of Scarface (What was he using, an M-16 w/grenade?), 3] Heat Bank Robbery Shooting Scene (in the street) (Were they also using M-16's).

1.) Sharps 45-110 used in Quigley Down Under. Close second would be the mini-gun carried by Jesse Ventura in Predator.

2.) Too many to name, amigo!

to keep this in topic since its the handgun forum,
[1] the modified ingram mac 10 from Blade.
[2]Matrix lobby, roof. and all the ones from Ronin

over all fav [1] either quigleys sharps or bruce willis's remote control gun from The Jackal

Smith & Wesson No. 3 Schofield from "Unforgiven."

The shoot-out scene from Heat. Unbelievable coreography. I've no clue what rifles they were using anymore. Galils?

Chances are he knows how to use it.

Well doggone, Bob, as soon as I saw the topic title I immediately thought of the mini-gun in Predator and Quiqley's Sharps. But I had them in opposite order. The mini-gun scenes, although practically impossible, were very cool.

Actually this topic is more of a general nature, so please look for it in General Discussion....

I liked the duel .45 1911's in Last Man Standing (Bruce Willis) when he shot the BG on the Irish side... it was cool but impossible (the BG went flying and did a great tumble). I don't really like 1911's but this movie made em look great!... I may buy one if I watch it one more time.

I believe the BGs in Heat were using AR-15s. Al Pacino had a FNC. My favorite gun in a movie is definitely the nickel MP5K from Speed.

I would definitely say the bank robbery scene in Heat. I REALLY HATE inaccuracies in movies especially when it comes to firearms. (the 25 shot revolver, the 50 shot 1911 and the all famous hip shooting) That just makes me want to stop watching. Heat, from how it seems to me and what I’ve been told by others who have more experience than I in tactics, is one of the most tactically accurate movies made.

Well, the 1911A1 used by Nick Nolte in EXTREME PREJUDICE. Blue steel government with stag grips carried in a Threeperson holster on a "river belt".

There were several shooting scenes in the movie where he used the 1911. There were no over sized magazines, no bodies flying thru the air and he had to reload from slide lock back several time.

I just got through watching my DVD of Terminator 2, and I just noticed that Linda Hamilton handles her 1911 so well it brought tears to my eyes. Besides, she was totally buff. ;) I think she was being coached by an Israeli military dude.

Of course, Arnold's minigun and shotgun were very cool.

The cannon in Predator was a nice one too.

So they are AR-15's in Heat, good to know...

Does anyone know what an FNC is??????

1. My favorite hangun is a Glock 19, but I cannot recall any movie using this weapon. The closest is probably Tommy Lee Jones' Glock in "U.S. Marshalls II" ("Get rid of that sissy pistol and buy yourself a Glock").

2. "The Replacement Killers" has some of the best gunplay in any recent flick, IMHO. It's almost operatic...
Most of the Good Guy's guns were Berettas. One of the BG's used a Desert Eagle.
And, of course, "Ronin". It's too bad that DeNiro is such an anti-rights liberal, though.
For an older flick, "Thief" with James Caan, had some great 1911 handling.

1: In Marked For Death - Siegal shooting an Omega atop the steering wheel (front windshield was shoved out of the way) while driving the truck on the sidewalk heading towards the BGs.

2: The Matrix lobby scene.

I believe the line was "Get rid of that nickel plated sissy pistol and get yourself a Glock". And that movie was just called "US Marshalls", but it was the sequel to "The Fugitive" so I could see where you would get "US Marshalls II". And it wasnt that good of a movie, so...

So many to mention.
Predator(we all know which scene),
T2(we all know which scenes),
Matrix(need I bother typing it again?),
Way of the Gun, Del Toro pulled out a Galil near the end, /enter Homer Simpson's reaction to a good doughnut here,
Heat,
Ronin,
Too many to name!
Oh yeah, and not to create a Battle of the Blondes here(sounds like mud-wrestling) In Scarface that was an M16A1 with an M203 grenade launcher. Just a little information that might be good to know.

MrBlonde, thanks for the M16 info, I thought it was an M-16 in Scarface. MrBlonde and EZECKIAL, read my signature.

Ezeckial,

The cop in "Ransom" used a G-19.

One of my favorite movies is Terminator 2... that Lever-action shotgun. Come to think of it, Heat, Ronin, Copland, and Ransom have some great scenes also.
